OFFICIAL NEWS TEASER COMING 11/28/14 (BLACK FRIDAY) to Select Theaters

What if the teaser goes like this. Disney Logo followed by Lucasfilm Logo and than, in space and Star Wars: The Force Awaken text appeared and fades out. The end.

 

They have had Episode 7 movie footage for a long time, and as long as they have movie footage I wont accept an Teaser Trailer without EP7 TFA movie footage. Another thing is that they know what the fans are hoping for, so they will definitely include some EP7 TFA movie footage.

 

And what do you do with the remaining 50 seconds? Assuming minute long teaser.

 

Can you please tell us SOMETHING about what'/who is in the trailer? Or when the definite release will be?

 

YouTube guy Emergency Awesome posted a video laying out his ideas for the trailer timeline. He's not an insider but seems to have good info on a range of shows - I'm not saying he's right but I wanted to post the vid for your consideration

Really looking forward to this. The teaser for Episode 1 was great (better than the film).

 

The problem with the Episode 1 teaser is that it shows every important scene from the movie. There is no need to watch the movie after that I mean it shows EVERYTHING! Young Ani,Maul,Qui Gon,Obi Wan,Battle Droid the End Battle I mean just 90% of the movie. I hope the teaser of VII will just show meaningless scenes that dont spoiler the story.

 

You're spot on, I've just watched the trailer for episode 1 again after reading your post, and even the 1.29 version gives far too much away!

I know everybody will be hoping for something different from the trailer, but personally I think less is more. Maybe a glimpse of a Sith eye, but not enough to give away too much...I'm not sure what my expectations are but I know I can't wait.

 

I agree. I don't want it to be in depth enough to give anything away but I hope it has enough detail to get me excited. Something along the lines of a shot of a Star Destroyer ( or any other iconic Star Wars vessel), maybe a shot of one the OT characters ( Han and Chewie perhaps ). A shot of Daisy's charachter on the desert planet would be cool and finally it would be really cool if they showed a quick shot of the villian from behind. I think that sort of trailer would wet our appetite even more for the new film without giving anything away

 

Hope this is not to far off topic
But if you look at trailers in general, then i think the first theatrical trailer (not teaser) for J.J's star trek in 2009 is ,in my opinion, a perfect trailer. Again like many it's better than the film, even though i like that one immensely. But when you look at just the trailer, it's just a perfect primer for the film. JJ almost did it again with trailers for the next star trek but i didn't think they where quite there in comparison - but very close .

Say what you will about these two films, but you gotta appreciate the genius of that trailer
I have full confidence in team JJ to deliver another awesome trailer

and i do think we're in for a treat

 

JJ has a fine history of impressive trailers, even his lesser liked films had such huge expectations to begin with because of how fantastic the trailers were. I still remember first watching Cloverfield's trailer, and I don't even remember the movie it was attached to.

 

Keep in mind! He is a StarWars Geek. And all of the ppl that work on the movie will have a huge impact so it is not just JJ's movie. Also it is StarWars that alone makes this movie different from all the "common" movies. Also VII will be a new milestone like every other Star Wars Movie so: EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

 

Will the upcoming teaser actually contain in-film footage or it will be like the teaser for Star Trek (2009) where you just see workers constructing the Enterprise?

 

Fair enough. Would you be willing to tell us what your gut said? As much as I want it to be true a year out just seems so far.

Wouldn't that be an epic troll? If the teaser was workers constructinget the Millennium Falcon.

 

I hope the trailer consists of construction workers working on Death Star 13. This time, it's REALLY indestructible. No joint Ewok-Gungan-Ugnaught clone army is gonna take this one down like they did to Death Stars 3-12. Bank on it! (Maybe.)
