Recording the music on 15 I guess 2 days editing would be fine, so 17th?

 

I feel like something is coming very soon, with the complete lack of any news whatsoever so far this week.

I'm pretty sure there will be a short trailer out soon. It's been way too long since something official was published: Sep 18th was the date of the Falcon/Batman video which was some kind of teaser trailer . Before that this was their rhythm of updates on social media (propably not complete):

This is the longest period without official stuff since they started filming. They know we are waiting for some official stuff so I think they keep us starving till end of November or XMas to finish the year with a bang.

 

You're forgetting the announcement of THE FORCE AWAKENS.

 

I made that post before it was announced. As big news as the title announcement is the way they played it was really low key. It seems like the calm before the storm.

 

You know, I think Gabriel could be playing us. Honestly, look at some of the random videos he posts, and it's already been mentioned that those images could be faked.

 

Maybe, but he is not the only one talking about a teaser coming soon.

 

It was mentioned somewhere that any movie it was tied to, it would probably need to be finished at least a week prior the movie being released, unless of course that movie was being delivered 100% digital to the theaters.

Also, where did you see the music was being recorded on the 15th?

The music will probably be a mix of classic themes, with a coupe twists, different tempos and probably hints at new themes. It's better to record a new performed track than to actually mix existing tracks.

 

I've been considering the idea of how this teaser would work ever since it was rumored, and the title announcement really got me going, not to mention the "Luke in hiding because he's too powerful" rumors. I generally hate people who come up with ideas like this, because it just seems presumptuous and annoying. But I figure being presumptuous and annoying is bound to happen sooner or later if I keep lurking here. So here goes.
What if the trailer opens with a shot of closed eyes, and then cuts to a series of scenes from the last six movies, interspersed with stuff from TFA?
In my mind, the scenes would be narrated by monologues on the Force from the other movies. You could go a multitude of different places with that and really represent Luke's fragmented mindset.
"It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together" followed by scenes of characters using the Force.
"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid" followed by gunfight scenes.
"Luminous beings are we" with that final Force ghost scene (Hopefully with Sebastian Stan, but I'd understand using Hayden).
The montage would get more and more hectic as it went on, with lots of quick cuts for detailed nitpicking. Finally, Luke opens his lightsaber in Ben's hut as we hear "The Force will be with you...always" and then an immediate cut to that great scene in the concept art where the new characters open the saber for the first time. Back to the closed eyes, which snap open, and in a quick zoom-out we see it's a grizzled but whole Luke Skywalker, meditating in a cave, with rocks levitating all around him. The rocks fall and BOOM cut to logo. See! Awakening!
I hope you guys don't think this is TOO stupid. I really kinda like it. The trailer'll probably be much different, but this seems to fill the requirement of featuring very little finished footage from the movie (the Luke bookends could be easily filmed without being in the film, a la the Enterprise teaser).

 

I do hope such a trailer will premiere with my Uncle Bilbo's film, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies.

I would actually stay and watch The Hobbit if this turns out to be the case. For example I would NOT go to see Hunger Games just for the trailer. Sorry.

 

I miss the days when I was not expecting anything soon at all...it's a torture right now caused by speculations and rumours. New relativity theory: time passes way slower for people impatiently waiting for official Star Wars material.
