OFFICIAL NEWS TEASER COMING 11/28/14 (BLACK FRIDAY) to Select Theaters

the first 2 Hunger Games films were so good though!

 

Note to Disney:

Stop messing with us and hand over the trailer so we can ruin the internet forever!

 

Disney might want to release it before someone leaks it online like the "Age of Ultron" trailer was. Now heard that Disney wants to attach it to "Into the Woods" to boost ticket sales. But could Disney attach it to a 20th Century Fox movie release before that? Could be an olive branch in Disney's supposed X-Men/Avengers crossover that keep popping up. Just a thought.

 

An X-Men/Avengers crossover will NEVER happen unless Disney buys the rights to them.

 

I could buy the theory that an agreement to release the trailer with a Fox movie could be small part of a deal to get the distribution rights for X-Men back from Fox. However, here was what I was able to find regarding Fox upcoming movie releases:

• Penguins of Madagascar - 11/26/14
• The Pyramid - 12/5/14
• Exodus: Gods and Kings - 12/12/14
• Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb - 12/19/14

Of those, Exodus: Gods and Kings is the only one that, in my opinion, seams likely and it may be later than when they want to release the teaser. Interesting though, it lists Sigourney Weaver as part of the cast, with her being at one time rumored to be in TFA.

 

The Fox/Disney crossover from what I've read would be to get Wolverine to appear. Not a full on rights back thing. Or Disney could attach to a Fox release as a tip of the hat for the years of Star Wars. Really am going to miss that Fox opening theme before the "A long, long..." , but it'll wash over once the opening crawl starts.

 

Let's face it... within minutes, it will be out there on the net... no need to see crappy movies for the most awaited trailer in history. And, while they will most likely try to bolster attendance at some movie with the trailer, once any version hits the net, they will most likely do an official net release

Turn over the trailer, and the Wookie gets to walk free...

or even better... Turn over the trailer, and we will take care of your little Gungan friend for you

 

Just release it and enjoy the hype. I guess it would be worth it even buy a ticket so that you can enjoy classic Star Wars in the cinema 1 year before it is in the cinemas. It would be a short joy but well even 1-2 Minutes of star wars in a cinema are priceless.(unless it is the PT.) Just imagine hearing Mark and Harrison and what not the great sound the big hardcore non leaked pictures. AMAZING!!!

 

Ugh... I wouldn't watch a crappy cam recording of a trailer, no thank you. I would rather pay to go watch the trailer. I really think production companies should publish release dates for teasers and trailers, this would really help calm down the overhype, I would probably only surface when trailers are released since they would be fixed dates to lookforward to. Asking someone to wait a whole year isn't pleasant, asking someone to wait x number of months between trailers makes it a whole lot more tolerable.

Why not. ^^ But I would be too hyped to watch a movie after that. I really would need a hour or more(I think weeks) to analyze the trailer in my mind/digitaly.

 

People pay for a whole lot of dumber things, paying to watch a movie trailer/teaser doesn't even rank on that list.

 

What kind of fans are you??? I'd pay $19 to see the trailer before Dumb and Dumber To... Suck it up and get your ass in front of a big screen.

 

I'm not going to run to a bunch of random movies on the hopes that the trailer will be there. However, once it is confirmed, I will go... rest assured I will see it online 2 or 300 times first, but I will see it on screen, and I will get a ticket for that. I will get a big tub of popcorn, put extra butter on it, and a drink so big a family of 4 can take a bath in it (which will only cost about a week's pay, equal to the ticket price)

The movie will have to suck pretty bad for me to walk out at that point... but no doubt, I will select that movie for the trailer in front of it...

 

It is very funny, that we will repeat all of this with Ep VII and XI. Haha ctrl + c and ctrl + v time then.

 

I just got off the phone with Barry Disney, he said the trailer is coming on the ..........<*php_script-error*>......

So, you can rest assured that the wait won't be too long.

 

BTW... I don't think we´re getting a teaser before a poster teaser... but I could be wrong.

 

Great point regarding a poster.

I hope they are both released very soon, simultaneously.

It will be a bit of a downer, after the initial high wears off. We get a little piece of the puzzle, and it will probably blow us all away - and then several months before anything else, let alone the finished product.

 

Hopefully we'll get a new teaser or trailer every 3 months... but that's just wishful thinking.

 

If anyone remembers the TPM trailer debuted with the Adam Sandler vehicle, the Waterboy and yes I paid to see that film and sat through it as they replayed the trailer afterwards. At least we have better odds of this teaser opening for a better film.
