TFA Soundtrack Listing

Scherzo for X-wings reminds me of Scherzo for Motorcycle from Indy 3:

 

Torn apart = Han Solo's Noble End

 

I really hope he doesn't get Torn Apart, like literally.

 

It's an emotional tearing apart. Rey and Finn lose their mentor figure, Kylo ends the conversation "forever." Also, Finn loses hand.

I don't buy this track listing. Finn is in the movie just as much as Rey but he only has one theme that references him?

 

How do you know?
Regardless, Rey is the central protagonist, the "Luke" of this trilogy. Even Kathleen Kennedy herself has said that the hero of these films is a female; it's Rey.

 

Based off of the same spoilers people put their faith in.

Boyega said Finn had a theme, and unless that's Finn's confession, then it doesn't seem any of that is satisfied.

 

The soundtrack detailed here is not the true musical recording accompanying the film (in other words, it is not the complete score).

The soundtrack will be individual pieces rather than the actual minute-by-minute score. Whatever Finn's "theme" is, it might be show up throughout the movie and merely didn't make it to this release as an individual track.

 

But why not? it's hard for me to believe that an active character's theme is only going to appear sparingly in the film. And it's not like we can pretend he doesn't have a lot of screen time.

 

I don't disagree. I'm just saying that you can't count on this soundtrack release to necessarily reflect that. In other words, his theme could be all over some of these tracks, it's just not there by name.

Well....crappy 2 second Luke cameo with no Luke, Han, and Leia interaction where Luke does absolutely nothing after 32 years of waiting confirmed......

 

They already had their trilogy. This trilogy is about the new kids. Luke's role is coming up in Episode 8. You can't effectively introduce a new cast of central characters if all the old ones are taking up all the screen time.

 

Why bring Han and Leia back then? And no one was expecting the new movie to be about the original three in lead roles, but there's no reason they couldn't have been in supporting roles to the new characters and that wouldn't have hurt anyone. A two second cameo is absurd and uncalled for no matter how you cut it.


We waited 32 years for this movie that we didn't even think we'd see, got excited to revisit old characters we never thought we'd see again, and then they do nothing with them and put them in the movie for 2 seconds. Then tell us "oh, we'll get you NEXT time (maybe)!"....there is no bigger middle finger to the audience than that. It's already been 32 years! We deserved a bit more payoff delivered than "Oh, there's Luke for two seconds! Roll credits! Then end!".
