    Yoda made him realize that it wasn't just about the old Jedi order. When Yoda told Luke to pass on what he had learned, he was talking about from his personal experience, not just Jedi dogma. Once Luke learned how the Jedi Order failed, and then he repeated that same failure, he thought the Jedi should end. But Yoda is basically saying, teach from your failures, not from some old books. The greatest teacher, failure is.
