    i'm not bothered if they go for florescent green with brown spots and pink stripes... as long as the damn car can finish the races and not get lapped twice while it's on a long straight! :D

    6 weeks until testing, and a bit less till we start seeing some shiny new livery's. i'm suffering badly with F1 withdrawal peeps :(

    lol.. not overly interested in what they look like, although Williams are practically building a new car - so that i await with interest.

    i'm gonna make a bold prediction here... if Sauber do get the latest Ferrari engine like they are supposed to this year, LeClerk will score more points than Raikkonen. could even see a mid-season promotion from Sauber to Ferrari. just a hunch :D (which could see Kyvat jump into the Sauber)

    Oh that's a BOLD PREDICTION & I like it. As it seams the main guy at Ferrari is a big fan of LeCerk & obvasly dosent seem to rate Raikkonen to highly then I could see this happening if LeClerk start to out score him during the season.

    it's been confirmed at Williams.. Sirotkin gets a drive and RK is reserve driver.

    Hopefully Sirotkin will prove his worth, but it's a shame the Kubica didn't get his second chance - I'd have thought the publicity alone around his return and the team having him front and centre would have been a money-spinner. Williams opting for another rookie with their 'lead' a one-year veteran is certainly a gamble, but it definitely seems like it's more about affordability (after a lacklustre 2017 and finishing so far down the constructors table) than race potential.

    As disappointing as it is for DiResta, it's also not surprising. He had a couple of seasons and while good, he's probably right that it's an age thing.

    Did you see that Mansell has been touting Lewis as an almost certainly achieving a 5th title this year... if that looks likely my disappointment in F1 will be complete. We need a real challenge to the Merc reliability and dominance (just as was the case with Red Bull during the Vettel years) and yet no-one seems capable of bringing it.

    seeing the extra va-va-voom the merc engineers let Lewis have at the end of the season with that new engine.. it is worrying that they have dials they can turn up when everyone else is still working on reliability.

    having a 3 engine limit this year before penalties works mahoosively in their favor as well.

    Lewis starts favorite.

    but....
    i hear that they are shortening the car to go in the same direction as red bull & ferrari - this may be risky.

    Renault started to show some engine speed last year.. but it blew reliability.. literally. If they produce a pile of reliable and reasonably quick engines at the test in spain, then i honestly believe that Max, Ric and Fernando will compete for podiums every race.

    If 4 teams can be within a second (average) of mercedes then we could have a tight championship.
