    I'm hoping it will prove to be plural in meaning.

    I like the title, but reading the chapters in succession is odd.... The Return of the Jedi, the Force Awakens, The Last Jedi....Seems like momentum was building and then shut down., from knowing only what we do at this point.

    Well, the title isn't a full surprise...

    I believe it just means that Luke will be the main focus of the movie and doesn't exactly hints the fate of a character.

    I'm just glad it's not "The Last Jar-Jar" or "The Blast of Jedha"

    Not exactly what i hoped for, but I like it. It gives meaning to Luke being the last jedi. I had hoped though that they didn't use the words Jedi Sith Empire Clones or Force..

    We're gonna get a lot of Luke, even more than I expected. The title is simple and effective, translates very well into foreign languages, a great choice.

    The super bowl has the largest viewing demographic in the US. The rest of the world can get it online if they don't care to watch. ;)

    I gotta be honest, I was expecting something extremely different and creative since this was a Rian Johnson film. I have no problem with the title, it's just not what I expected.

    Now as for the meaning. ROTJ had a duel meaning in my opinion. Luke becomes a Jedi, so the Jedi return. AND, Anakin Skywalker returned when he rejected the dark side and was redeemed. I believe THE LAST JEDI will have a duel meaning as well.

    The Phantom Menace - Palpatine & Anakin
    Return of the Jedi - Luke & Anakin
    The Force Awakens - Rey & Kylo
    The Last Jedi - Luke & Rey (?)

    It's short, simple, effective, to the point, has potential multiple meanings.

    Attack of the Clones, The Empire Strikes Back, The Last Jedi

    Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi,


    My guess for the Episode IX title would be Legacy of the Skywalkers, or something along those lines.
