Chapter 12 is directed by Carl Weathers, and will soon be upon us :)

Tagline: "The Mandalorian rejoins old allies for a new mission"

We should take bets on what Babyoda will eat this episode! ;)

I'd say anything he can get his hands on that doesn't eat him first.

It's beginning to look like Mando and crew have plenty to do here, in this sector. Not nearly enough mopping up of Imperials.

Loved it! A great debut for Carl Weathers as director! Really fun episode.

Also, I want to go to school in the GFFA. Looks like they get good snacks.

    That was awesome.

I love that they furthered the thread about what they wanted The Child /Asset for. Numerous possibilities, all exciting to me.

‘M-count’ anyone? :) Force sensitive clones? Palpatine? Or just a project for an ambitious Moff? It's funny because I was speculating IRL about that stuff right before this episode.

All the action was top-notch, there were some great moments of direction, and as usual great call-backs/appropriate sound effects in the mix.

That scene with ‘the Marshal’ Dune near the end was really beautiful. And obviously making a thematic link to Cobb Vanth, another Marshal who worked with Mando. Interesting.

As for the little’un, I loved the scene of him with the wires trying to help fix the ship... lol. And I bet sales of macarons (linked for anyone unfamiliar) increase this week! :D

This show still hasn’t really put a foot wrong for me yet, it’s ridiculously good.

I absolutely loved this episode, Carl Weathers did a perfect job; the dialogue, acting & of course the action was all top notch. It was great to catch up with Cara & Greef and the episode did it in a way that didn't take away from the main storyline and even added to it quite a bit. Wonderful episode.

    - Best Cara episode, she's such a badass. Gina Carano is one of my favourite pieces of casting in Star Wars at this point, she's got so much weight and authenticity to how she fights and has real presence on screen. I loved the scene with her and the NR pilot near the end too.

    - Snokes in tanks??? Who's "The Donor"?

    - "M count" = Midichlorian count!?

    - Lava Floods!

    - Space candy & puke, lol.

    - Epic chase scene + The Razor Crest is back in business!

    - It looks like Gideon will be bringing the fight to Ahsoka & Co.

    - What were those at the end? Some sort of clones or dark troopers type things?

These next episodes have a lot to offer, I'm extremely excited but also have some slight trepidation. This is the way!

    Well that was fun
From a good chase scene with speeder bikes & Tie Fighters to lots of intrigue about just what they want The Child for
Personally I think it’s more then just Gideon making a power play as the whole thing seems to be too well equipped / resourced for just him trying to carve his own little empire in the outer rim.

Also Mando seems to be slipping in his Child care duties first of getting a child to try & fix the wiring  is not going to work out well & then letting him eat while chasing that Tie Fighter although he did seem to be enjoying the ride up until he was sick :D..

Running commentary while watching (Runtime: 39 min including intro and everything)
--Previously = Re-introduction of loads of season 1 characters and plots; I guess we’re diving headfirst into the plot again
    --Baby Mechanic! <3
    --That cough! <3
    --Soup! Slurpy Mc. Slurp Face!
--Aqualish! Great re-intro of Cara Dune.
--The Otter thing is cute, but weird.
--Yeah, the Razor Crest is now officially a piece of junk...
--Hm… those guys wearing the “notice us!” mechanic uniforms? Yeah, they’re gonna do something!
--Who’s that 3p0 droid? I know that droid (i.e. voice)!
--Yay! The Mythrol’s back! He’s gonna betray them! (Edit: Hm... he didn't)
--“When the lava tide comes in…” WOW! That sounds awful!
--Railings must be forbidden in The Empire
--Oh, cloning facility… Trying to force-up clones through blood transfusion? That ain’t gonna work, right? “That is not how the force works!”
    --Willfavreauhelm scream! :D
--Girl can drive! Lucky speeder cushioning – love it! That speeder bike action is RAD!
--That’s some very quick repairs. The Crews is good as new already!
    --Yay! The New Republic!
--Oh man, that overhead ship shot! The feels! Also, I said so, the “notice-me-dudes” (aka. “Our Source”) did something to the Crest :p
(Are those armors supposed to be Dark Troopers? )

Great episode! Awesome action, loads of little character moments, teamwork, and kicking the big plot back into gear; great stuff! :) Kudos to Weathers.

I wonder how long it takes for a puking Babyoda doll to hit the stores? ;)

So, we've seen everything in the trailer now, right?

I could not relax and enjoy this episode because I was so worried about Baby Yoda getting snatched. (Like a protocol droid is going to be any protection!!)

Is the segment with Cara and the guys escaping the longest sequence we’ve ever seen without Mando or the kid in it?

Well, anyway, now that I know Baby is okay other than a little motion sickness :p (at least he had a seat belt on!!), I can enjoy a rewatch later while actually breathing.

That was a good one! I really liked it, not too fast, not so dynamic like the previous one, but still interesting and well done. I am really curious what did they showed to us at the end, are those really what I think they are? The Moff is really well prepared.

And I want to share one joke with you I found yesterday ( they are really pathetic, poor guys )

Also, does anyone else find Moff Gideon and the imperials in this show pretty creepy? Maybe it's the amazing music that really helps up the tension a bit, but I think the portrayal of the imperial remnant is done so well and feels genuinely sinister.

I agree, they looked pretty sinister to me too, this lieutenant at the end and the Moff.

    and droids too ...

That's what it looks to be. Mando will have a real opponent at last. Those so far were amateurs.

Thumbs up! Mando is above average pilot, we have seen this now. Seat belts are very important :)

    macaroon bleu ;)

Sometimes you have to trust your friends, if the planet is safe, pacified by Cara, why not to leave the child in the school room. Remember on Sorgan he did the same, left the child to play with the other kids. You know every parent needs a rest from time to time.

I also think it was a good chase, although we lost two speeder bikes already on the slope. Nevertheless it was interesting and I really enjoyed it.

I think Gideon has inherited some equipment and resources and is putting it at good usage. Or he is working for the infant First Order, prepping the return of the emperor. Now we know what he does with those who fail his orders, speculating of course, he is using them for his genetic experiments. Volunteers you know.

Do you really think it is realistic that the Crest can outmaneuver TIE fighter? I really enjoyed the dog fight, but thought it is completely unrealistic, TIEs are the most maneuverable ships out there, in reality it will make turns around the Crest :D while flying. Not to mention how fast it is.

Here you go :) one mega post. Cheers and Happy reading!

Oh I agree with putting The Child in school that was definitely the best option
I was just st a bit surprised at Din getting him to try & rewire his ship.

Personally I think he is involved in some part in force sensitive cloning part of the Emperor back up plan.

As for the Tie Fighter chase a lot of a Tie agility is down to the pilots skill as just because it should out manoeuvre the Crest doesn’t mean it will ( I would really like to see Gideon fly against The Crest).

Oh & I thought the macaroons ( Space Oreo’s) were more of a green colour then blue.

I'm not sure. I bet there were a lot of disappointed kids in that class by the time Baby Yoda left, when they looked down and saw that everyone's cookies had been stolen. smh. ;)

There is definitely some kind of Force-sensitive cloning operation going on... Is it directly part of the Emperor's backup plan? I'm so confused because TRoS ditched most of the "contingency plan" from the books.

Were the bodies in the vats supposed to be actual Snokes or just kind of bring them to mind? (I'm still waiting for my jar of pickled Snokes that I ordered last Christmas, Disney. Is it lost in the mail? Stuck in customs?)

The whole sequence was a nice callback, with twists, to the ANH trench run, when Han comes in to save the day.
