Nice episode, again furthers the plot a bit for the sequel trilogy, doubt they go too far down this line, but nice to see. The other shows tended to do this as well. We are setting up an interesting set of shows at the end of the season. The siege as such may refer to Moff Gideon laying siege to the planet Ahsoka's on. Would be a nice call back if Sabine were there and the one to find the tracking device.

That's an interesting point about the title... We didn't see an actual siege in this episode. Or did we?

(I don't think Baby Yoda's tummy troubles count.)

My first comment will be this one. The overall opinion later. Cause...

He drank baby! Mando drank! Mando lifted his helmet and drank!!

    Hurrah!

    That's what I wanted...

    Exactly.

Average pilot in the TIE should be able to outmaneuver the Crest. Those two ships are completely different classes. I would like to see good pilots in those TIEs. What about the TIE Interceptor squadrons?

I think he is making Dark Troopers, and for that he needs blood from force sensitive. That answer some of the previous questions:

    1) Why he needs the child? - blood donor for high count Midi-chlorians
    2) Is the Moff force sensitive? - No. Otherwise he will use his own blood.
    3) What is the Moff doing to his own people when they fail, so that they prefer to die instead? - look at my previous post. Volunteers they become ;)
    4) What is the job of Doc. Pershing? - cloning specialist
    5) Is the Moff having a star destroyer, how much resources he has? - No, probably he doesn't. But he has Arquitens-class command cruiser, which is 325m long and is not bad at all.

Crackpot theory: Moff Gideon wants to make himself Force-Sensitive. He's been trying to transfer Midichlorians through blood transfusions, but the process ends up deforming the body beyond recognition. I think this either ends up creating Snoke - or crazier still - Moff Gideon is the Snoke we see in the sequel trilogy.

I think those were desperate times for him. Desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. I am quite happy and a bit surprised because the baby almost did it right :)

It's great to see the Crest flying again!

If he has enough resources to put a siege to a planet. That will be interesting to see, we have seen it in the Clone wars, but in live action movie it will be much more interesting and realistic. I think we will see Bo-Katan again, who knows about Sabine ...

Yes, I think too that he either wants to make himself Force-sensitive or those dark trooper things Force-sensitive. Or maybe both?

Moff Gideon as Snoke would be so trippy!

I don't think that can be the case because the captain in the last chapter said Bo-Katan might let him live, but Moff Gideon wouldn't. Plus we know from chapter 8 that he just kills anyone who is inconvenient. I'm surprised Dr. Pershing is still around. He must be very valuable, possibly the only dude left in the galaxy who knows anything about cloning. What happened to the Kaminoans?

They were wiped out at the end of the Clone Wars. The empire broke relationship with them after Vader hired Fett to attack the cloning facility. Palpatine didn't like the clones and so they shifted to conscripts and brain washing.

I have to say that episode hit all the right buttons for me as a Star Wars fan. Moved the story, lots of info, comedy, friendship & camaraderie, action, The Force, Tie's going boom, lot's of pew-pew, and nice sinister cliff hanger surprise at the end. That may be my favorite episode yet

What was the emblem that Cara got at the end? I haven't the slightest on what it was.

Palpatine kept some of the cloning equipment and continued with experiments but at smaller scale. There are at least 2 comics which i recall mentioning cloning ships used by Palpatine.

He was obsessed by immortality, so he would make everything possible to succeed cloning a force sensitive. That will be his win over death, or better say his cheat ... ask you may know it worked out only partially.

So no Ahsoka, as I suspected. Never expected we'd see such things in the imperial base on Nevarro. Were this Sith Eternal clones or something else entirely? We saw Aqualish, Mimbanese, TCW references and much more. Was blown away by this episode tbh. I delve more into all this in my breakdown, if you're interested go to my profile.

You know what the teachers always used to say "No snacks unless you have enough for everyone." ... or in this case, "no snacks unless you have enough for you and Baby Yoda." Silly, naive teachers. There will never be enough snacks for Baby Yoda.

Nice analogy!! I probably wouldn't have even thought of that. That wire bit at the beginning had me laughing harder than I maybe should have, I loved everything about that. :D

Can't wait to re-watch this one!

    Excellent episode, excellent.

The action was great, both hand to hand and ship to ship, lol. I liked the thought that individuals like Greef and Cara are essentially creating peace for the entire planet in the Outer Rim.

Baby Yoda was in the background, but so, so cute. Electrocuting himself and stealing sweets.

Gideon is catching up, we'll see what Ahsoka has to say about it.

The M-count? To quote Darth Vader: "NoOOOOOOooooooo..." :D

That Alderaan moment was touching. Cara might find in the future that she's joiner after all.

I liked this episode more than the last and Bo Katan is my girl, so that's saying something.

There was a lot packed into what seemed a short episode. The plot is furthered and new questions presented.
    - First off, the audio callbacks -- there were tons of them!
    - The wiring scene was great. Shows Mando has trust in the Child -- even if the Child isn't up for the task. Great dialogue.
    - I got the impressions Baby Yoda wanted to see Mando's face in the "let's have a drink" scene.
    - I'm not up on the books ... but my first thought was that we saw Rae Sloan on the Moff's ship. Is that possible? Not sure where she'd be in the timeline.
    - Kept trying to figure out who or what were in the cloning tanks.
    - M-Counts .... That can only mean one thing, right?
    - Awesome chase scene. Loved when the two biker scouts crashed and one was flung upward and toward us. Just spectacular.
    - Continuing to love Gina as Cara Dune.
    - Becoming a fan of the Rebel pilots patrolling. Nice conversation with Cara at the end. Someone above mentioned the "medal" he gave her could be a communicator....? Interesting.

Continue to be blown away with how this series has grabbed me and not let go. Looking forward to next week!

I thought that at first too, but no, I don't think so. I'm fuzzy on the timeline as well but overall she was more concerned with sticking to the more Imperial parts of the Imperial Remnant and trying to control the remaining assets of the Imperial Navy. This offshoot that Moff Gideon has going feels like something that the Remnant either doesn't have much knowledge of, or it's highly classified. Or both.

Nevarro is thriving!! The old cantina is a school now, there are markets in the streets... What is all this positive growth?! If we were playing by GoT rules here, I'd be worried that all these feel-good developments mean that we're about to lose half the main cast to a random space slug or something.

Yes, Sloane has the main Imperial remnant in the Unknown Regions. Plus, she's black, and that officer was not black! She's also pretty much the head honcho now and not a lower-ranking officer. If I'm remembering all that correctly!

Nevarro looked so good! Planters and colorful awnings and people just hanging out... But the Armorer is gone. Din didn't even check--what's up with that? Doesn't he have Questions?

But you're right... Oh no, look out, Marshal! A giant space worm is comin' to get your school!!! .... Oh, wait, nm. Did that. ;)

After my euphoria of watching Mando drinking, here is my opinion.

Another solid 7'5/10 episode for me. Same as 2x01, the lowest in my general ratings.
I liked it for a lot of reasons but also have mixed feelings.

-Loved the beginning with the cables and the relation between Mando and Baby.
-Loved all the theories and information has left this episode: Clones, the Force, Troopers, secret experiments, Empire...
-Great chase scene and some really beautiful/cool shots. Am a fan of speeder bikes, TIE-fighters and that vintage K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport. So that was pretty cool.
-Love every Baby movement and laughs and sounds. It's adorable. Really great in this chapter.

But also I have mixed feelings (I recognize that sometimes I am too demanding).

-The tempo of repearing the ship and the siege itself.
-the telegraphed mechanic character to put something on Razor Crest.
-Also, during the siege, Mythrol has to wait in the landspeeder or is there to make all the dirty work?
-When I saw the school I thought, oh no, another chapter with bad extra kids. Luckily it doesn't last too long and loved watching Baby eating space oreos.
-Sorry but I don't like Gina Carano acting and Horatio Sanz character.
-Too much stormtroopers falling very easly, even those silly bikers down the hill. Ok, ok, we all know how troopers shot but the good ones here have the most incredible aim of the galaxy. They don't miss a single shot.

But no doubt it breathes Star Wars everywhere. So that's really cool.

That could be an interesting twist! Some background for ST characters could be great.

I must have really been sleep-deprived because I didn't even catch that part of it!

Always two space worms there are, a master and an apprentice....

I'll see your crack-pot theory and rationalize it slightly. Gideon isn't exactly Snoke... But the body that is Snoke is given life from the blood / life-force of Moff Gideon. Essentially a vessel-transfer. (Maybe the first successful one?) That could be enough to cover up the differences in speech characteristics.

Either way, I definitely see this cloning / research facility as the pre-cursor that led to Palpatine's resurgence.
