I wouldn't want her to play Mara Jade anyway. Everytime I see her I think of her role in the Shia LeBouff movie, HOLES as the camp warden.

Yes, I don't think she's right for Mara Jade. BUT we also don't know if that's who she was to play. She might've been up for the Christie role.

That's true. I could see her as a head Imperial type character. A female Thrawn if you will.

It gives those of us who loves to read the novels something to look for, other than just another story, makes me want to read every book they publish.

If it is Pasher, I wonder if the Kellen biolab somehow relate to Episode VII, I remember there was a sign reading WARNING in Aurebesh, in one of the photos that leaked? It might be a stretch.

I really hope everything ties together. It's like the MARVEL movies, just throwing something in the background to let you know everything is connected and in the same continuity.

I agree! But more importantly I believe that that is the plan for now on -- everything is now canon and tied together. Completely!

So what Dark Horse comics are considered canon? I think I read somewhere that Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir was indeed canon. Can someone verify this?

According to wookiepedia it is canon. It was an unfinished story from The Clone Wars.

Awesome, that's what I thought. Do you happen to know if a collected edition of it has been released?

Hey everyone, first post here! I haven't been an active member on any SW forums since the glory days of SWG, but anyways...

    Korriban > Morriband.

It's cool if you want to rename the sith home world, but to simply change the first letter and add a D at the end? Why? I miss you Korriban.

I was looking at a pic of Christie Chong the other day, I think it was the one on the front page here, and I was thinking that she would work with red hair for a flashback "Mara". Or if we go with JJ's Star trek reboot example, a start of the movie set years before the remainder of it.

I agree with you except that I hope this isn't the case. I don't want them to waste her on a FB when I think she could play an awesome new Jedi whose character develops more over the course of the ST.

    BY JASON WARD (EDITOR-IN-CHIEF) NOVEMBER 14, 2014
THE ROAD TO STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS BOOKS SERIES LISTING UNCOVERED.
This apparently follows two characters in their journey fromEpisode III to post Episode VI. It alludes to the climate of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The listing can be found here.

This goes on to say that there will be hints about TFA and that there will be narrative to set up TFA.
    Couldn't copy whole thing.

Here is what I find the most compelling:

Journey to Episode VII: The Fall of the Empire/The Rise of the Rebellion
Star Wars meets Romeo and Juliet in this epic YA novel that follows two best friends who find themselves on opposite sides of the war between the Empire and the Rebellion.

Chapters alternate perspectives between our two protagonists--one a Rebel pilot, the other an Imperial officer. By exploring these two different worlds, readers will experience many of the major moments in the original Star Wars trilogy--from the destruction of the Death Star, to the battle of Hoth--through these two characters' eyes.
