I've been on a plane and am too worn to look it up but...is Trank even doing anything or is he living in his mom's basement .

Back in June 2014, it was announced Rian Johnson would write the script for Episode IX and August 2015, Colin Trevorrow was announced as the director.

Do you guys think by the end of the summer we will know any more about this movie? Do you think this movie is even still in a form of existence or was it ultimately scrapped and thrown down the garbage suit?

While the negativity about Trank made me concerned and even spiteful of the movie, its uniqueness in the Star Wars universe is what had me most excited about it. The rumors of an underground movie where good and evil were very much the same. The movie of an anti hero. I got excited.

If anything it's been pushed back indefinitely and could be starting production at any time...

The official stance from Lucasfilm is that production on this movie was stalled, not cancelled outright. They said something about wanting to make sure the visual effects for the movie would serve the story efficiently.

As it stands, Pablo Hidalgo has been insistent that Rogue One and Han Solo were among the plans that George Lucas left behind for Lucasfilm to work on. I'm pretty certain that this movie, which is more or less going to be called Boba Fett if that product list leak is of any indication, is one of these major plans, and that they aren't scrapping it. As it stands, we probably won't get a Star Wars movie that George Lucas and other pre-buyout Lucasfilm staff didn't come up with until 2021 at the absolute earliest.

I've only recently been interested in the third anthology movie the closer we get to 2020. Can you show me the leaked list of George Lucas pre-Lucafilm-buyout movie ideas you're talking about?

I wonder if a lot of ideas from the canceled Star Wars 1313 will end up in this film.

It's not a list from George Lucas, but it's a list from Hasbro. The schedule was Episode VII (2015), Boba Fett (2016), Episode VIII (2017), Solo (2018), Episode IX (2019), and Red Five (2020)

Obviously, the order changed since those documents were leaked, as Rogue One (which is almost certainly what Red Five was) took off faster than the other projects. Since Josh Trank was fired, his project was delayed (it currently isn't on the schedule, but come on - Disney's not going to waste an opportunity to milk this cash cow) and the Solo project was pulled forward to take its place. But if we can believe this as a general outline for what the company had planned, then it's entirely possible that we could be seeing a movie with Boba Fett.

Makes sense. For all the throwbacks and homages the ST have or will have. It appears there will be no references to Mandolores the way Rebels have with Sabine. Guess they're saving them for the 3rd anthology.

What about a mace windy movie now that George has agreed that he is alive in the galaxy somewhere?
