Not at all, I can understand the disappointment. After rumours of a new logo I was expecting more. If the logo was like this fan made poster i would've been a happy geek.

Either way it's doesn't really matter, there'll be loads of versions over time.

 

So it might just be my eyesight, but it doesn't look like Finn is holding the original Anakin blue lightsaber....the head of the shaft looks more rounded. Idk might just be the lighting.

 

Me, I didn' t believe the rumors so it really surprised me.

I don't know how I feel about the image of Starkiller base yet, assuming that's what it is. It sparks the nostalgia neurons in my brain but at the same times says "unoriginal". I guess we'll only know if it's a good move once we see how it's executed on screen.

From a continuity standpoint it makes sense... the technology can't be "put back in the bottle"... now the Rebels have one and the First Order potentially have a bigger weapon. It's an arms race. It's also a moral dilemma. There's been allusions to the movie being a lot like the cold war.

 

I actually think that is supposed to be Vader. But now I'm mad that I notice it because it is distracting lol.

 

You are the confused one. The presence of a super weapon does not make it bad writing or mean TFA will suck, as some people seem to believe. The prequels had a BUNCH of new ideas that were executed poorly. There was no super weapon in the prequels. The prequels sucked. If written well, more super weapons that have evolved from the older technology makes perfect sense and will add much needed tension and drama.

 

This thread is a perfect character study.

Poll shows 4% dont like the poster but if you read through the thread you'd think that number was 96%.

 

Let's take a close look...

1.Han and Leia are close together
2.Kylo Ren and Rey are close together

All this tells me is that this is the Skywalker bloodline mixed with Solo.

 

Han is literally on top of Leia. Kinky.

 

And Chewie is behind her :/

What if this this poster its a decoy, just a temporary poster for the official one, one with Luke and Snoke (because thay want to keep both in a secret until the movie release) on it?

Maybe I just saying this because I'm one of the persons who voted "i don't like it", and I would like see a great piece of art.....hehehehe

 

Nah. That's the poster. They want to reveal as little as possible about Luke or Snoke.
