It's not any worse than the Jabba dance scene in ROTJ.

At least in the Jabba dance scene there's no "on the nose" social political commentary.

Also, Lapti Nek is still a masterpiece :D

I'm talking about the current GL canon version, not the original version. I'm talking about Jedi Rocks. This is absolutely one of the worst things that came out of SW. This is way worse than anything from Canto Bright aliens. If you don't think so, then you're in the minority. Then again, I don't go into movies purposely looking for political messages.

The Jabba dance scene was surrounded by greatness though. Canto Bight was just surrounded by more crap (minus Luke's R2 and Yoda scenes)

Only thing great surrounding Jabba is Boba Fett and he didn't seem too pleased with the performance. I hated and thought that scene was terrible when I was 10, i Sure hate it now in my 30s. If you think that was greatness then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I'm talking about the movie as a whole, like the throne room and the space battle etc. To be fair, I backtrack on my comment about TLJ being crap. I like some parts, but I consider ROTJ to be a much better movie.

I didn't have a problem with the dance scene, just the lips poking through the screen trying to kiss me.
