I have the statistics actually regarding the FA backlash. I wasn't quoting millions absent mindedly as you assume. But you seem apt at assumptions, as with the R2D2 rock scene and Ben Kenobi's scream changed to sound like a Krayt Dragon and make it canon as that is the "sound" for them.

    You are indeed knowledgable.

As far as the techology goes, your simply... completely wrong. As I said, you expect everything rustic. In the OT what examples did we have to go by? A rustic dated Corellian ship, the Millenium Falcon? The poorly funded rebels supplying X-Wings not based on looks but rather functionality.

Yet conversely we get to see top of the line fighters well funded in the PT, at the core world of Coruscant, but "magically" they are out of place. Different models, different financial backing, yet they magically do not fit.

    I simply must disagree.

Onto the R2 scene you asked "How did he get there?". Well considering we see very little in that scene, I simply do not know. Perhaps there was a break in the rocks further off camera, or perhaps there was a short small cavern off camera with the entrance hidden behind the rocks where he gained access. The sky is the limit, regardless those were put there for continuity issues as any GL bandwagon basher must know by now.

Perhaps you should take Obi Wans advise and reach out from the simple and determine your eyes decieve you and put thought process into deciphering the changes made for *You* which many have arrogantly and blindsidedly dismissed and wrote off GL and his creative and visionary work as "pointless".

Dodged? I merely chose not to address. Is it my fault that your ineptitude does not allow you to see the brilliance in the tying together of the PT and OT regarding immersion and continuity changes? Am I to hold your hand through every example while you escape brilliant deciphering thought and appreciation on the "why" things were done as so?

Han shot first. Han is a hero, or a role model in SW. Han shot first was changed for children based on moral grounds. It speaks more of a hero defending himself rather than taking the offensive. Why that simple change was made and I happen to agree with the change, as Han is a societal role model.

My rebuttal but as I suggested you need to look past your simplistic thought process and decipher these changes on your own.

Also I take issue with you saying Kylo Rens scar is an immersion change. Farthest from the truth, it was personally done, does not fit continuity, and fails to maintain the delicate storywriting that George Lucas delivered.

Al right, your posts aren't really about Star Wars, but rather raging personal rants. I'm not interested in arguing with fanatics, I've done it way too much in the last 10+ years.
What I suggest you to do however, is to do as this fellow member proposed:

    Your wrong.

I presented you the truth, I displayed a mirror in front of yourself forcing self reflection which either leads to illegitimate hatred or personal growth.

What I did was a very Jedi thing to do.

I used sarcasm as a teaching tool. Perhaps you can do the same for someone else in the future as I have done for you. I also hope you have a more budding appreciation for the OT and PT, rewatch, and reclaim the immersion and brilliance you missed out on.

Before you teach others, try figuring out what's the difference between your and you're.

I indeed know the difference but chose to ignore it for time sake.

However I hope you apply that very lesson, noticing the minuscule details, to understand the entire thing, to the OT and PT. Why changes were made, what was the thought process behind it? Essentially, reverse engineering why George Lucas did what he did.

I don't blame you for being a little upset, but what I said was for your own good trust me. You may not even realize it now but to quote Obi Wan "you just took your first steps into a larger world".

Even if you hate me, mission completed. You now know the why's on some, which will draw you back into the OT and PT for closer detailed analysis and appreciation.

This has ceased to be an observation about a change that was made, and has been turned into a vendetta. Whether or not you agree with Rian Johnson's decision, this thread is over the top.

I'm going to review the last several pages of comments. Some may receive messages from me.
