Yes, I was surprised when Hamill stated he doesn't watch the Star Wars films at home. Sort of echoing what Shatner said, get a life...

 

I might have written it wrong, ofcourse he should Tweet about other stuff than Star Wars. What I ment was, he can joke and troll all he want, but when it comes to him joking and trolling about an Star Wars trailer, I've had enough. Star Wars is something that makes me relax and enjoy myself outside my daily rutines, it is not ment for me to start feeling annoyed about..

 

You don't know that he was trolling. Typically when he does troll, it's not so specific. I fully believe that either he thought that the trailer will drop or knows that it will and was censored because they were not wanting it announced that way.

 

If he's not trolling, then as you said, he likely spoiled the big announcement, so he tried to rectify it before it got out of hand.

 

That is where my interpretation of events stands.

 

Yes you are right i dont know If he was trolling or not. One can only hope that he wasn't.

At the same time, he has been In the Industry long enough to know that it is not up to him to reveal the release date of the trailer, unless he has an understanding or special arrangement with the Disney and Lucasfilm ..

All things considered, I doubt he was trolling. I'll be counting down to the night of the 9th.

 

And if nothing happens on the 9th, then there is probably only a week or so left until the release of the trailer..

I get why, assuming this is true, he had to delete the first one, though. TLJ presumably had to pay for the TV spot, whereas they'd at least get some revenue for YouTube ads. Bit of a conflict of interest, there.

not sure what joke or reference he was "trying" to make regarding the Vikings v Bears match, but i'm sure he's catching hell for it now.

personally, i'd wager he accidentally spilled the beans and we get the new trailer on the 9th.

if i'm wrong, i blame Mark.

Let's say it really was a "Vikings vs Bears joke" (whatever the heck that is)... if true, Hammil should probably be more careful. Obviously the good man has a life outside of Star Wars, but fans are practically on their hands and knees right now waiting for anything TLJ related, and the fact that we haven't gotten a trailer yet is a bit frustrating, if not entirely unprecedented. Obviously anything that coy is going to be misconstrued.


And by the way, the tweet was removed long before the explanation, was it not? Seems like some conversations were had in between.

 

Guys, this isn't the first time Mark's joked about the wrong date of an episode VIII trailer.

Remember early this year about the Pop Culture Quest "episode 8 trailer."


This is just how Mark is.


The real date release is already planned out by an entire Disney marketing team and will stay on its set schedule.

No need to worry.

Edit: If Mark did know about the trailer release date and Willy Nilly decided to let everyone know, he'd get official permission tell it in his own twitter as an announcement.
