    Do you remember the 90's TV Show "Troops", making fun of the (back then) Imperial Troops?

    I would like to start a thread based on the Stormtroops funny side of life, i would like to see all your funniest situations involving Stormtroops.

    To open the thread i would like to share a little wild west tale:
    in order to capture the notorious bandit Jim Doolin the lawmen surrounded him and his gang in a saloon and open fire, they counted at least 400+ bullets on the side wall of the Saloon but Doolin and all his mates just run away without a single injury, nobody hit them.

    I Believe we found the lost ancestors of our beloved Stromtroopers.

    Basic stormtrooper I suppose. Better to be a faceless number with no special status given, and thus little notice to what you do.

    TIE pilots die all the time, scout troops gotta rough it, too much work to be an Imperial Guard (plus lots and lots of standing around), and... let's face it... the naval officer seems like it'd be a cushy job and all, but they also seem to be the ones getting choked all the time.

    So a basic stormtrooper serving to garrison some backwater planet where nothing happens. Yep.

    The ones with the giant black helmets... you see them at the opening of ROTJ as well (they are only in ROTJ, but it looks like FO engineers were inspired by their design?)

    I'm guessing you might be mixing things here, The ones you're talking are the "Imperial Engineers" in all the OT Movies but the "Imperial Commandos" are super cool special stormtroopers from the SW Video Games and SW Expanded Universe Comics.

    I could have sworn the Imperial engineers (without face plates) were called "Imperial commandos" in some games... that's where the confusion comes.

    Wookiepedia shows what I mean:

    Well in any case... that's who I'd want to be. In Dark Forces the storm troopers could be killed with 1 or 2 well aimed blaster shots... but Commandos took 4 hits. (lol)

    It's true that OT characters naming is terrible, i've seen this guys even called "Death Star Gunners", but the real mess is with the aliens in the cantina and the alien species with plenty of names to choose to each one (wookipedia and DataBank came way to late to settle all these issues)

    By the Way, "Dark Forces" was the first SW Game i really loved and the "Jedi Outcast" and "The Jedi Academy"remain my personnal favorites.

    I find it funny that the FO trops are really accurate and so are the clones but MOT the OT troops .
