    OP note: I added a spoiler tag so that any spoilers surrounding Luke and any plot points could be discussed here if needed.

    What will be Luke's fate coming out of The Last Jedi? I personally think he will not rejoin the Resistance with Rey, I think he will stay isolated on Ahch-To and then will realize he will need to step back into the fight and go on his own to find Snoke and end the threat once and for all. Luke doesn't seem interested in really getting involved. We know that Rey, Leia, Finn, Poe, Rose, Chewie will be on Crait and by extension Artoo, BB-8 and Threepio will be with them since they are Leia and Poe's droids but we have had no indication that Luke is with them.


    From the shot in the BTS reel that we see in what looks like a Rey and Leia conversation, we see Leia sad in that shot, could that be Rey telling Leia that Luke has decided not to rejoin them and instead is going on his own mission? That is what I believe. I think once Rey leaves to go back to the Resistance on Crait, Luke will have an epiphany and will realize that unless he gets involved, his nephew, sister and the galaxy will be under constant threat from Snoke and the First Order and that this conflict needs to end one way or an other and that the only way he can do that is by personally confronting Snoke.

    Edit: Also, we have had numerous leaks that Rey and Kylo might be conversing on Ahch-To and that Luke overhears this and flips out and blows up a hut. Maybe that will begin the catalyst for bringing him out to find Snoke?

    I don't know. I think he may go on a mission to kill Kylo, or Snoke. I think he will leave, and if he does it will be for a good reason. Leia may be sad because her Son will ultimately be killed by her Brother. It's a lose lose situation. Rey is held back because she is not yet strong enough to fight.

    I think Luke will be around more now that Leia won't be. She had a very important role in her story so I can see the attention being focused on Luke now. Many fans were mad because of Hans death so I don't think they will kill Luke as well so I either see him being an important part of the story or as a character that's important now but will slowly fade out of the spotlight to make way for the new characters.

    I don't think they will kill him off at this point....with Solo being KIA and Carrie Fisher dying in real life, i think they will keep him around for a while. His actions I'm not so sure of since we didn't see much of him in the previous film.

    He definitely survives. As for leaving Ahch-To... I don't know. He better does! If he stays it's going to be veeery unsatisfying, unless he saves the day Han Solo style at the end of the film.

    Yoda's stick is way shorter than Luke's staff. It doesn't also have any ornaments.

    I kinda like the idea of him joining forces with Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. Together they leave for a mission to stop Snoke. This probably won't happen though. Haha!

    I'd like that to happen, it's my most optimistic scenario. The idea of Luke and Ben ending up on the same side is obviously not crazy, but I think one film is not enough for such development.

    Hasnt it been confirmed that Luke and Leia have a reunion? Going by my middle aged memory here which fails me from time to time as pointed out earlier today :D

    If this is true, Luke would have to make it off the planet with Rey because the Falcon is the only ship capable of flying that doesnt need major water damage repair currently on Ach-to. At least that we know if.

    Ummm, Yoda is like under 3 feet tall, it's a bit long to be Yoda's. Also, Yoda's looked more like gnarled drift wood or a branch. Yoda's stick was probably only 18 inches long.

    I voted that he leaves Ahch-To with Rey mainly because I would really like a Luke Leia reunion but I can also see him staying on Ahch-To remains in self imposed exile & trying to stay out of the galaxy affairs however will n 9 it will be up to Rey & Finn to persuade him otherwise.
