When are you watching TLJ and who are you watching it with?

Time to go ! Movie in 2 hours

The magic thing is that I stayed it for 2 years and I'm still unspoiled. Props to Disney on that one.

 

Today is the day! I woke up to The Imperial Suite. Brushed my teeth with Stormtrooper toothpaste (not that it's any good). Showered, dried myself with a Darth Vader towel. Did my dailies in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes while downloading Battlefront II (couldn't resist it any longer). Coffee from my cherished Empire Strikes Back mug. Checked the The Force Awakens calendar. Yup, it's today.

Went to work. Sitting at my desk now, baffled both by the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the negative attitude over at r/StarWarsLeaks, just waiting for The Last Jedi. I really should try to get some work done, though, but it's hard, I keep thinking about The Last Jedi all the time.

Star Wars....is so much more than a movie. Even if it's the fricking eighth one in the saga. It's the closest I get to spirituality, I suppose.
I should've taken the day off on religious grounds.

 

I'm going today at the 2pm show. But I'm in shocked because when I'll go back , i won't be able to give my review as a finn's fan in this forum. Because the finn's topic had been locked!!!!!!!!

i'm in shock because maybe I'm wrong, i think it's an USA forum. And aren't american are proud about their way they can speak freely about anything . They can even diccuss thIngstjhat are forbid in others countries right? maybe I'm wrong and it's not the case.

And the finn's topic is just locked because Finn's fans are not happy and expressing their feelings. So I'll be back from the movie, and since it's locked i won't be expressed to tell my feeling about the movie , about the goods things i watched about Finn and or the bad things i watched about finn!

I 'm really in shock that we ( finn's fan ) we can have the freedom to discuss the character because right now it's not the "happy discussion ".

I'm french, on our board, we locked a topic when people are doing things that is law forbidden. Racism accusation, threat death, insult to each other ,really serious chaos in the topic where hatred in majority. Which was not the case here...

Maybe it's not an american forum, and the " we american are proud to talk freely " is not a rule here, since it's not. maybe french have the possibility to talk more freely than USA people. I enjoyed coming here because there are a lot more fans than the french board. Because star wars is a USA legend

But if it's an american forum, I was taught a lesson today. It's that freedom of speech is more a myth than a reality.

So, my mock exams were postponed until after Christmas due to the snow and ice over here... As a result, I have little to do for the next 13 hours before I head off, because I’ve done everything on my itinerary leading up today to a ‘T’. Which is making me ache for the film even more

Think I’m staring down the barrel at a day with little to do other than rest in preparation for seeing the film tonight and again tomorrow afternoon. I think I’ll settle with listening to some SW music and playing Battlefront, then and watching October’s trailer a few more (hundred?) times...

Seeing it tomorrow night at 9:45CST with a group of childhood friends, then again at 10:45 Friday night with that same group, and then with my wife on Saturday as part of our wedding anniversary date! So ready.

 

Another report from Czech Republic here I am going home from work in ten minutes, then we're gonna watch TFA and eat pizza with about 8 friends, then we're gonna don some costumes and head to the cinema. Our screening of TLJ starts in 4 hours! Can't believe it!

I have been next to useless today at work, unable to focus

 

Hi Everyone!
I'm going to the VIP fan event tomorrow at 6pm. I'm located in the US! I'm going on my own because no one wants to go with me I'm sitting next to a bunch of other Star Wars fans who are going solo. Wearing my darth vador pajama pants and my Chewbaca slippers. SO excited!

 

Back from the cinema. I have finally seen it after so much waiting and hype.

My feelings about my first impressions right now:

This wasn't the film I was looking for. I feel the same as I did after the prequels: Utterly disappointed and confused.

 

I'll be going to the Fan Event in less than 24 hrs and watching it with approximately 150 other SW fans.

 

I'll be seeing it with my brother, since RotJ (I was 3 and he was 5) we've seen all the Star Wars movies in the theater together, including the special editions. I know we also saw ANH together for the first time during the network premiere in '84 but TESB I may have just watched by myself or with a friend on tape. We're both very busy with work and the holidays and can't see it together until next Thursday. I hate to wait that long but I don't want to break the tradition either.

I exchanged 9:30 to 6:00pm. Today.
