Once again, I've gotten nothing from this conversation but the thankfulness that you're not one of the writers. Always a pleasure. ;)

For letting luke run off to fight two extremely powerful Sith by himself, knowing that if he fails they will rule the galaxy for who knows how long?

And remember this is someone who already starting fighting agaisnt the Empire because she didn't want that very thing happening............ So not only does she need a good reason, it has to be a good why about why she'd change her mind.

you still don't know what a strawman is do you? Cause I didn't make one.

And you have no idea what my job is.

Education time. A strawman is logically fallacy where you dishonestly present someones argument by either weakening it or misrepresenting it, and therefore make it easier to attack with your own argument. Its the opposite of the Steal Man - where you strengthen someones argument before attacking.

Your claim was that Ahsoka not helping Luke and/or Leia during the OT would be in character for her. Quote - " Ahsoka not getting involved in training a Jedi is so in character that we saw her do it in Season 2"

So I presented how such a meeting would go, with Luke presenting his situation, problem and goal to Ahsoka and Ahsoka acting according to what YOU claim her character is (ie - not getting involved). That is not a strawman. What I did was take your claim which might seem reasonable when stated and put in context of the story, where suddenly it doesn't. I didn't weaken your argument or misrepresent it, I simply put your claim into context.

Look, we should get back on topic, but if you don't think that literally trying to write the script for the argument that you're opposed to isn't a strawman, I don't really even know what to say. I get that's how you think that meeting would go down, but you're not the one arguing that it is plausible anyway...

Anyway, an argument that I might actually write could look something like this-

Luke approaches Ahsoka and asks for training. Ahsoka denies him, telling him that if she were even willing to train him, he would not end up as a jedi, because she does not follow the Jedi path. She could even say something along the lines of Luke already being more advanced than her, or him having better mentors in Kenobi and Yoda.

Then, we can see Luke ask Ahsoka why she won't come back to the Rebellion. Her answers could really run the gamut here. Perhaps she's taken a single specific planet under her protection, to right some wrong she may have caused. Maybe she's left the Rebellion for much the same reason as Kanan and Ezra have discussed- her presence drew more attention than it was worth. Maybe she's doing something else, searching for a great evil (of which we already have with Snoke now anyway). Or, it could be something you or I can't come up with off hand now anyway.

Anyway, I have no interest in causing issues here, and I feel like that's where this is going, so if this is going to continue like this, I'm just going to leave you to it.

when its doing it to your specs......no its not a strawman at all. YOU"RE the one who said Ahsoka not helping Luke would be in character so......... Fact is once you see it in that context you realize its not in character for her at all. Ok

Ahsoke - even if I was willing to train you two, you would not end up as a jedi, because I don't not follow the Jedi path.
Luke - But you know more then we do. We could still learn a lot from you. Leia hasn't been trained at all. I've already been trained as a Jedi, I'll be one once I defeat Vader, and your training would/could help me survive that meeting and save the galaxy.
    Ahsoka - I said no

Yep - very in character. I nailed it. I totally believe you've watched Clone Wars and Rebels by you knowledge of her character.

Also, this idea that she isn't a Jedi so he couldn't train a Jedi......by you logic Micky couldn't train Rocky to be a boxer because Micky wasn't a boxer anymore.

Or like cawatrooper said, she could’ve been doing something very important as well. The galaxy is bigger than the Star Wars movie timeline.

Yes, many many many things are more important then getting ride of Vader and the Emperor..........

I also don't think you've thought the logic of her doing "stuff" AND the doing of "stuff" stopping her from being able to help through very much.

Well at first we didn’t have two other Jedi (Kanin and Ezra), roaming the galaxy doing other things that were not in the movies. What’s wrong with exploring other possibilities?

their existence during the OT underminds Lukes stories because the audience can/will ask the question I'm putting forth.

Fine, believe whatever flies your X-wing, but I really do believe that there is so much more than Luke VS. The Empire.

Ok... first off she wouldn’t shove off Luke like that

Second off if she continues to help the rebellion she might be putting them in a lot more danger then just simply staying away

Third off we don’t even know if Ashoka left the fight for good I know it’s most likely that she did leave the rebellion after her encounter with Vader on Malacore but well this is Star Wars anything can happen

Pablo Hildalgo of the story group made it pretty clear there is no such thing as grey Jedi. And I would not hold my breath that any will show up.
