    There's been a lot of talk about how The Rise of Skywalker is the finale for nine films. Some of that appears to be tied around Palpatine, but when you look back at films there's a question about the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Palpatine converted the long time home of the Jedi to the Imperial Palace after Order 66, but very little is known what happened after the Empire fell.

    The Jedi Temple on Coruscant is big part of the Clone Wars and the prequel trilogy. I'm sure many others are curious about what happened to the legendary location. What happened after the Empire has been absent so far in canon. All we really know is The New Republic moved the capital away from Coruscant.

    The tragedy of what happens at the Jedi Temple in Revenge of the Sith still haunts these saga films and it would be nice if that terrible wrong was somehow addressed in final chapter of this saga.

    I don't have a lot of hope that it will, but it would be a nice touch.

    What do you think, will Coruscant be in The Rise of Skywalker?

    Yes. Coruscant will be in TROS, but it will have been turned into Starkiller Base II by the First Order.

    I'd like it to be in TROS, but I don't think it will feature.

    From the locations we see in the trailer, adding another may make the movie feel a bit crowded. I don't think there'll be enough time in the movie to visit Coruscant, but it is a great location with the pomp and ceremony of the senate/upper class area, to the dregs of the underworld.

    It's difficult to say one way or the other based on the limited info we have currently. So far the ST has avoided pre-existing locations but if Ep 9 is intending to tie all 9 movies together it may visit some locations from the other movies and Coruscant would be cool to see again.

    I absolutely don't think so but it would be a great touch, even moreso if the fate of the Windu saber (and it passing to Finn) happpened. But there is 0% chance of that happening outside of the fan fiction story in my head. ;)

    If the rumor is true about the next series being the Old Republic we'll probably see more of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. JJ made a decision not to concentrate at all on the politics of the galaxy. Given how TFA ended Coruscant didn't really fit into the film either. If Coruscant isn't in this series I hope Lucasfilm gives us information in a book or a comic.

    I think it is certainly possible if the story leads there. If Rey sees Palps in any forcebacks then there could be one of him there.

    JJ was/is not a fan of the prequels. Ok he never outright said "i hate them" but he avoided talking about them in questions leading up to the premiere of TFA.

    Remember how he told MTV; at least i think it was MTV that he was like (paraphrasing) "we are using 4,5 & 6 as our canon".

    I'm doubtful will c any prequel worlds. We haven't seen any prequel aliens.

    I would really like to believe that we'll see it...and the temple, as those places are where all of this began, along with Tatooine.

    I'd personally like to see Rey quietly roaming the abandoned halls of the temple hearing thousands of Jedi voices in her head, and then perhaps being confronted by Kylo. To me, it'd be very symbolic that the story and the generations had come full circle.

    I hope to see these places again, and I'm not betting on it, but hoping for it...a LOT.

    Yeah, I think there has to be. If the movie is about a “ skywalker rising” and is rounding out the Skywalker saga, not spending time on Tatooine would be criminal.

    The First Order was basically run from Snoke's ship so it would kind of makes sense that the First Order would consolidate power on Coruscant.

    I love the idea of Rey roaming the halls of the Temple ruins on Coruscant [great idea!]. I woukd like a change of location from Jakku deserts and Kashyyyk forests to a metropolitian city.

    Unless Coruscant has been wiped out and turned into a desert, there's no chance. JJ only likes desert planets and planets with lots of trees. He also doesn't like new ship designs.
