Yeah that's what I was also thinking until someone on here posted a link to a photo call or something like that from Wednesday and the entire TFA-Cast was on taking the picture but then KK said that "every single person here right now will be in VIII," or something to that affect and MVS was there .

After one viewing I thought the pacing, it was just a little too fast. Maybe that will change the next time. I loved the film regardless.

#2 I 100% agree with, but I do seem to remember in the credits it mentioned their names somewhere when talking about action coordination or something.. ?

Biggest gripe, from someone who really enjoyed the movie, was the small cameo of Luke! And that he didn't say anything!!

My only issue is how they'd make it work if KK is, in fact, telling the truth...

I know that he was in costume, but the face looked very CGI to me... I'm actually going back to see the movie in 2 hours so I'll take another look. But I'm pretty sure it was a mix of practical & CGI.

What bugged me about Maz was her eyes... I thought the CGI was a lot better in GOTG & Dawn of planet of the apes (as far as MoCaps go). I was really hoping TFA would break new ground in that regard.

Maybe at the 2nd watch Snoke will grow on me... but Kylo is quite possibly the best villain I've seen in Star Wars. If not the best, 2nd to Vader, there was something really disturbing about his character that I've never seen in a film villain before... the way he made me feel/ very desolate existence.

Just got back from seeing it (3D). Taking my son tomorrow (2D, he wears glasses).

1st half of the movie was amazing!

The character of Kylo Ren was spectacular and stole the movie. Him punching his gun shot wound while fighting Fin and Rey was great not to mention his earlier temper tantrums.

Loved, loved Fin and Poe. The new Han and Wedge I guess.

Disappointed in Harrison Ford but he had a great death. Which leads me to

Carrie Fisher, man, did here lips even move when she talked or did she have a mouthful of food? The dialogue was terrible. Hopefully they take her out early in the next one. Almost unbearable.

The look of Snoke was not good and looked like a cartoon. There had to be other options. Man, don't even know what to say.

Liked Maz. Is she even force sensitive or just wise from age?

Liked the character Rey but her pulling off a mind trick on the fly felt cheesy and lazy.

The Resistance scenes felt rushed and pasted in there. Wished R2 was with Luke instead. C3PO and R2 felt forced in there.

Death Star 3 and blowing it up also, really. They couldn't of just disabled the weapon or something just to change up the story a little. Way too much like the other films.

Keeping Luke out to the end was a good thing. Leaves you wanting more.

This film had the potential for a unbelievable story. Started off on fire then fizzled out. Felt like the writers were too afraid to be to creative a little rushed and a tad lazy. Overall enjoyable but not great. Hopefully is better the 2nd time.

Honestly I didn't have many issues with the movie. In fact I went in ready to dislike all the fan service I was hearing so much about. But in the end I didn't think any of it was over the top at all.

If I had to pick something I'd say my biggest grip was R2 suddenly waking up with the rest of the map. That seemed like a massive plot hole to me.

Especially because this is ILM and xLabs and all as well as Serkis all working on ILM's OG project .

    Oh, another one:

THE MAP: Why do we need a map? Don't we just need a location, and they can calculate a hyperspace route from there? Would you not be able to find Luke Skywalker if you took another route? Very confusing. I'm pretty sure hyperspace travel has never been presented as "You must follow this exact route or ____".

I don't know much about the different CGI houses, though I do know Dawn of Planet of the Apes was done with the WETA shop... which is strange because if I'm not mistaken I think they did the Hobbit as well which I thought was the worst offender.

Though on the 2nd viewing I didn't mind as much, I actually like the film a *lot* 2nd time around. I was stoned out of my mind the first go around so I missed a ton & my judgement was impaired... though being stoned during the kylo scenes was incredibly intense! I'm also growing very fond of kylo's theme... one of william's best.

I loved almost every aspect of the movie, I put it on par with ESB. I think JJ missed an opportunity with the so called flash back with Rey. The movie was so fast paced and left some thing unexplained I think that would have been a great opportunity explain some of the circumstances that led to where the current state of affairs are. I won't give details of what I wish they would have done to keep it spoiler free but I just wish it was a more detailed sequence in a fast pace and awesome addition to the franchise.

I still think that ILM is the best when it comes to VFX as they're The OG.

OH god that flashback... prior to this the flashback was the last thing I wanted in the film but it was so powerful... did anyone notice Yoda saying "energy" in the part where Rey was walking the hallway where Luke & Vader dueled?

Speaking of which... what was Kylo Ren doing in that scene? I saw they killed constable Zuvio... was that the village scene with Von Sydow?

& did we ever figure out who Von Sydow is?

I guess I don't remember what was in the films and what's in Legends and what's in the current EU, but hyperspace lanes have always been a thing I think. The idea that it's dangerous to just go randomly running off into hyperspace so people take pre-mapped safe routes.

I dont wanna whine about Science too much but come on a weapon that drains a frakking star to fire and cant move because its built into a planet..

    1) Star contributes pretty much all the gravity in a solar system so no Star and those planets go flying
    2) lets ignore how they transfer that energy without the snow melting and the atmosphere burning
    3) who sinks their budget into a weapon that requires a star to fire and cant move? They only wanna fire twice?
    4) The Empire built the death stars over 20 years with all the resources of the Galaxy at their disposable and the imperial remnant (first order) can convert an entire planet in that time with far inferior resources what how.

Man I can wait to Neal Degrasse Tyson comments on that one.

    Loved the film, huge fan.

If there's one thing that I could skip, was the freighter scene with the 2 gangs, and monsters.

    Everything else, great.

Is it just me or was like all the Creature CGI bad... I mean this is just not up to ILM standards....Maz, Snoke, and the creatures on the frieghter all looked pretty bad in my book.

U know I joked when Driver was cast that he was going to play the hipster wannabe version of Vader and boy did that turn out to be true.
