SPECULATION Your thoughts on Attack Of The Clones

Well the movie does have its qualities based on your perspective of it .

 

Half of it sucks (and you know which half), so that alone kinda prevents it from being on par.

Taking Obiwan's main plot only, however, comparisons don't appear as absurd - overall "weaker", and some clear coherence issues in the script, but it depends on which aspects you value I suppose.

 

Its like all the prequels an original plot, brimming with idea's and great action..... but its poorly executed, with far to much cheese with wooden dialogue and acting.

but despite all its floors i enjoy watching it, theirs a lot going on and I take away something new from it every time.

 

There is more substance as to why "Attack of the Clones" is a big favorite of mine. I just don't feel like spelling it out. And I'm not being contrary. "Attack of the Clones" is really one of my top two favorite STAR WARS movie.

 

Hayden Christensen's performance was TERRIBLE. By the way, where is he now? I think Anakin was too emo and too much of a spoiled cry baby.

He was in a couple of movies like Awake and Jumper but then he bought a farm and moved somewhere on his own and is currently working on getting back to movies after his self-imposed exile but it wasnt because of star wars entirely.

 

Yeah, in another thread, you did take half of my post out of context, it's there for any masochist that wants to sift through your old, oh so substantive posts, to see. So, not only is that point irrelevant to this thread it's also a straight up lie. Your post above is actually a good example of your mo, which mostly just amounts to saying "no it isn't" or "no it's not" or just contradicting what others have said without ever offering, dare I say it, anything in the least substantive.

So true! At the end of the day, we all love Star Wars and we're here because of that.

Please all remember what wise Obi-Wan said:

So let us not deviate from that. We might not agree at all in our opinion about all the movies, but let's be respectful.

Where did all of Anakin's light sabers come from? He broke one in the droid factory and said Obi Wan was going to kill him for doing so, then he appears to have another one immediately following in the coliseum fight scene... or did I miss something? It was green, the other was blue. And later, when fighting with Count Dooku, he once again has a blue light saber. He must have had an endless supply of them. Interesting that TFA revolves around his last light saber which Obi Wan obtained.

i honestly think if you cut twenty minutes(mostly from the beginning or middle) and have more of dooku and the separatists it would have been a pretty decent film. But as is it just drags too much early on and the love scenes are just too much to handle. once you get to geonosis though i'm all in.

 

It's funny you say that because George Lucas thought something similar, not about it fragging, but about obi-wan's storyline among other things of the iniitial cut which is why we got that entire droid factory scene and more of geonisis and stuff

interesting. i wonder what we would have gotten if lucas had a little more time to work on this one.

 

It is one of my top two favorite STAR WARS movies of all time - along with "The Empire Strikes Back".
