If I recall there are 2 versions of the rumor. One is the blue sabre. The other is the green. With the green sabre the rumor was sort of a message and the hand associated was Luke's robotic hand. When the sabre was found and it finds its way to Han via Rey he gets worried basically "Why doesn't Luke have his sabre. . . something must be wrong.

    So maybe this settles it?
    "087-06-3697 SW E7 Darth Vader Lightsaber. 44.99$"

I'm not familiar with how their system works, but episode specifier is only included on items that it seems reasonable they already sell with a similar title. EP2 Yoda saber for instance, or E7 Ammo refill. They probably have EP3 Yoda sabers and E1 Ammo refills, just as they'd have Darth Vader Sabers already, but this is the E7 model.

Why would there be an Episode 7 model Vader Saber, hm?

Every few years they change all the packaging even for stuff from the past movies. All the new toys will be pushing the new films even if they are from previous films. For instance 90% of the Star Wars toys right now the Star Wars Logo has the Rebels red/orange blur letters. I would expect they want to put the big sellers out with the new hottness.

I would like to see a lost holocron floating through space with a message in it that only a certain jedi can unlock.

I'm wondering if the new Marvel comics will give us some more insight into the saber theory. I believe it was either Star Wars #1 or #2, but there is a little bit of Vader being surprised to see someone have his old saber/he mentions later to the emperor that Obi Wan gave 'the boy' his old saber. If it gets any more mention, or we learn more about it when Luke (or Vader) finds the box Obi Wan left for Luke on Tatooine, I think the floating saber theories will be true.

Sure they do, but if that was the case this saber would still be labeled Ep6. Its not. Its labeled Ep7.

To your point, the Yoda saber would be labeled Ep7 as well and its not. Its labeled Ep2.

Me thinks there could be more here than marketing.

The OT Star Wars storyboard book. Came out last year. A cut scene where Lukes hand moves by itself to retrieve his lightsaber. It's obvious the new story is borrowing old ideas that were discarded. Maybe this has something to do with it.

Not sure if it was brought up but should my Third Order Theory be true then it helps with a lot of the plotholes of spacesaber. If nobody remembers it I'll post the link to the thread since it gets tiring repeating the stuff constantly

For me, if you open a movie with a lightsaber with a hyperdrive apparently flying all the way across space, mind you a light saber that hereto before nothing was ever told to us to make us believe there was anything magical or special about it. Anakin certainly went through ligthtsabers like toothpicks in the PT.

Then you eliminate my favorite star wars character to a punk kid not even really a legit Sith
Then my second favorite character appears in one scene.

You have a greater than 70% chance I will hate this movie and I don't even hate the prequels.

Now if you explain why said lightsaber flew all the way across the galaxy, a trip that would take it billions of years, not 30. Said pilot is either not killed or at the very least killed by a sith lord. I could live with said pilot being killed by Exar Kun or Revan or something, heck even palagieus.
and Lukes one scene is really kick ass.

then that number will go down.

I get you have to have suspension of disbelief, but you should not be so intent on connecting an item to all three trilogies that you invent a stupid plot device to do it, especially when that thing that connects the films is the droids. That is one of the key reasons they are there after all.
