SPOILER About that Object In Space...

Another thing: all SW movie opening crawls bring us up to the point of the action. What would the focus of the opening crawl need to be in order for the opening image of a light sabre in space to be the obvious point of entry?

It has been 30 years since the death of Emperor Palpatine but still the galaxy's loyalty remains split between stalwart Imperialists and those seeking to instate a New Republic.

In the hope of asserting their independence from Imperial oppression, systems outside of the core have been forced to recruit mercenaries to protect their interests.

Despite the success of LUKE SKYWALKER over the evil Sith Lord SIDIOUS, the JEDI (long the defenders of peace and justice in the galaxy) are no more. Their ancient ways have quickly become the stuff of legend; their curious lifestyles and weaponry now little more than historical curios, prized trinkets and much-sought-after relics....

PAN DOWN to reveal a silver light sabre hilt. The blade sparks and fizzes but fails to ignite as the weapon drifts through deep space in a severed, robotic hand. No ticket refunds, sorry....​

 

Yes he retrieved it before taking Vader's body to the imperial shuttle on the second death star, I did not like the way he through it away while confronting Sidious he should have shown respect for the weapon he created with Obi Wan's help.

 

On board of a Star Destroyer.

Our Heroes fight a lightsabre battle against Kylo Ren. A window is destroyed. Kylo Ren gets sucked out and dies, but our Heroes manage to escape. They board their Spaceship.

Kylo Ren's lightsabre is flowing around while our Heroes with their Spaceship pass by.

Outdoor.

I think the actor who played Thing on Adams Family is related to JJ.

I despise that its called the Bespin saber lol. I don't know why. The fact the this particular saber belonged to Anakin, was held onto by ObiWan and then passed on to Luke... and its called... the "Bespin" saber. hahaha. Its such a great artifact in Star Wars. I hated seeing it go the first time, and its return is really cool, especially (as given via hints in the trailer) it is passing down the same lineage.

 

Probably because the was the last place we saw it. lol

 

I agree. And in the Digital BTS of A New Hope the prop maker said it was "the Excalibur" so it returns like Excalibur.

 

Well you can't call it Luke's lightsaber. I usually call it Anakin's lightsaber but people often don't know what I mean

 

I know, but its such a cool weapon lol I wish it could be "The original" or "Anakin's" or something lol I move we don't call it that and give it some cool beefed up name. hehehe.

Anyways, its an amazing thing seeing that new trailer. Brings so much to the forefront and confirms a lot.

Ok wait a minute!

In Empire, Vader has his meditation chamber room in a Super Star Detroyer. In the new TFA teaser there's a crashed SSD. Could REY or a local have found the saber inside Vaders room within the crashed SSD? Vader could have retrieved his old saber after Luke decided to fall into the tube and then stored it in his meditation chamber.

No worries! Just a thought and I'm sure it's not the case but would totally make logical since. I'm watching Empire right now and I am extremely excited! STAR WARS IS BACK!!!!
