I understand fine. We may just disagree. The first 2 are teasers. Although they are way longer than most teasers. Big budget movies almost always get 3 or more main trailers, after the first teaser or two. The second main trailer may only have 20 secs of new footage over the first. We'll then get at least 10 tv spots, which are generally 30 seconds long.

11 days to go... and I just can't get over how there are absolutely no leaks (unless DP being 2nd anthology film was legit, but I say it wasn't). Either LFL / Bad Robot cleaned up their house, or what we are getting at SDCC is not considered leak worthy. A third possibility, is that they haven't finished their third trailer or teaser, maybe they are reviewing several different variations. Who knows? I just hope that whatever we get it, it tops the last teaser, which I saw again today, and realized, it really doesn't show very much at all.

When it comes to people arguing about 5 teasers or trailers being unlikely, I would like to remind you, that nothing strictly applies to this film. Disney is attempting to start a trilogy of films with a bang larger than any of their previous films, with the intent of claiming largest grossing film of all time, or at least, of the year. They will try new things (within what is sensible) in order to attract larger audiences and fill as many theaters as possible all around the world, for as long as possible. I speculate that the 2nd installment in the trilogy won't have as strong as marketing, hoping to ride off of the success of the first one, however, the third installment will most likely have an equivalent, if not greater, marketing mechanism behind it.

Let us hope that it is all for the best, and in 11 days, we will see what we will need to see, unless it is SDCC exclusive and won't get released online until a few days or weeks later.

If they were making a Darth Plagueis-centered movie, they probably wouldn't have considered hiring Josh Trank to direct it. Anything involving the character would have to be more introspective and politically-driven than any other Star Wars movie - perhaps even moreso than the Prequel Trilogy - and I don't think that they'd look to someone like Josh Trank to do that. Such a movie would probably be best left to an established director as opposed to an up-and-comer. But as it stands, they've said that they want to stay away from doing movies about the Force, Jedi, and Sith outside of the Star Wars Episode films - at least for the time being.

I don't quite remember where I heard this, but there was a rumor that they weren't looking to hire Michelle MacLaren to direct Star Wars Anthology #2, but to be the showrunner of the long-gestating Star Wars Underworld television series, which would feature Han Solo, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Bossk, and Lando Calrissian, among others. The person who heard this said that many of the rumors being attributed to the 2018 Anthology film are actually directed at the show. I don't know how much stock one should put into this, but I think it'd make some degree of sense.

But is that it? Is that the only leak we will get? I am a SW leak junkie, so I'm pretty much on a big crave right now. I need something more! That aside, it has been rather quiet for a major event coming up, or maybe it just seems like there was a lot more noise preceding Anaheim.

There was a lot to crave from Anaheim, I doubt this is a legit leak.

In regards to the second anthology film they'd go after Trank for an origin story since that's how he made his name. Same how they went after Edwards mostly because the HALO jump from Godzilla is such an iconic scene haha. On a side not I don't understand from practical standpoint why they wouldn't do a HAHO jump in that situation. Even with the news of the TV show (that I have waited years for) I still think the second anthology film will involve Boba Fett in some sort of origin story, he is too iconic to pass up.

Anyway without even a director attached to the project don't expect a lot of new regarding a film that's three films away.

The reason we've got nothing on Rogue One right now is because of the ridiculous legal situation we will get a lot more once that's over with.

Episode VIII stuff won't start hitting until TFA is released. The only thing we might even get is reports of Lando's return.

Even leading up to celebration we got nothing. All the teaser descriptions that even hit were nowhere close to the mark. It wasn't until the day before that all the good stuff hit, such as the leaked audio (that many people called fake on). Based off of how they've worked in the past I am sure they are still deciding between a couple different trailer concepts

You know Conan's going to be doing shows from SDCC from the 8th to the 11th. JJ's been on plenty of times in the past to promote his stuff and I wouldn't be surprised if we got to see something on the show.

Oh and I only can hope we get another segment with Triumph and Star Wars fans:

I was not aware of this. Thank you for informing us, now we only have to wait 9 days until we get something on Conan.

I don't know if I should open a new thread for this or not, but I really want that anyone who is going to SDCC if you know someone who is, sometimes they will allow questions from the audience, and I really want someone to just ask the panel up front if the rumors of Luke having a minor cameo at the end of the film are true. If they dodge the question, they confirm it, if they say no, then we shall see.

Yes, but people were acting like they were experts on analyzing audio, ridiculing anyone who actually thought it was legit. That is what was ironic.

They're not going to give you an answer to that if you ask them that way (because they wouldn't want to disappoint the crowds and they wouldn't want to spoil anything major), regardless of how long Mark Hamill is in the movie. It'd be better to ask Mark Hamill if he filmed any scenes at (or near) Pinewood Studios.

It was, but there's debate about if he filmed there or if he was just encouraging the cast. I'd say that the former is more likely, but I'd like to hear a confirmation.

Those folks who are planning on going to the presentation on Friday, please note they're doing the wristband thing again.

    http://www.comic-con.org/toucan/23-return-of-hall-h-toucan-tracker-wristbands

Wristbands for the Friday Hall H panels will be given out on Thursday night starting at 8:30. Friday's got both of the Walking Dead shows, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars. It's going to be an absolute madhouse.

In fact, if you're planning on going on Friday you can pretty much plan on spending most of Thursday waiting in line. Hopefully you bought the four day package or multiple day single badges. If Thursday is your first day, get your badge and head on over to the NDL to see the line for the wristbands. Chances are good you'll be waiting in that line for a couple of hours. If you get a wristband, I'd head straight on over to Plaza Park to wait in line for Hall H.
