    Ok back on topic...

    I do find it strange we are 8 days away from comic-con and no word of a trailer or really anything they will be presenting at the panel.

    I will not be happy if I wait in line for a day and don't get to see a trailer or at least some footage...

    I wonder if it is because they haven't decided which cuts to use in the teaser/trailer yet. The synopsis of teaser 2 (from SWU I think) had mention of the shot we have seen of Gleeson and Phasma but it was not in the teaser. That leads me to believe they have a number of cuts from the film it may not be decided which they are going to use. I would think rumors should start floating out after the Holiday weekend.

    SDCC can't come soon enough. Trailer or no trailer we need some more official info to discuss around here. The cycle continues. Official info is released and everyone is excited about the TFA. Then time passes with little to no info and the mood starts getting dark here in the Cantina. People start getting all doom and gloom about the movie until more official info energizes us again. I saw this same thing happen around the time of celebration and I figure this will continue until December 18. The Cantina could use a good infusion of official info and excitement again and I suspect SDCC is where we will get it from.

    It would certainly brighten my mood. I think we all entertain the remote possibility that maybe at SDCC they will show some of the same stuff from Anaheim, with a few new bits here and there, which, while interesting, is a let down for those expecting a new trailer. I wonder if they don't show the trailer, would they announce the date for the next one?

    It would mine as well. I really am struggling with them showing a new trailer at CC....I just don't think they will. By the time CC gets here, C7 will only have taken place two months ago, and I'm of the opinion that the new footage will come at D23...because it's a Disney event, and SDCC (to me) seems too soon for new footage.

    Come on Trevor your lack of faith disturbs me haha

    There will be at least three trailers attached to this film and they need something to attach to Ant-Man to boost sales for the film because it's not a well known Marvel property at all and he is honestly one of the worst premises for a mainstream film (I've never been a fan of Ant-Man I'm sorry haha). They need a new trailer we will get one here, one at D23, and the third around I'd guess October what sort of Disney properties are being released in October?

    I'd agree if they weren't going to SDCC, however they have to get some focus now on Rogue One after that Paramount deal not to promote it. I can easily see Trailer 1 released at SDCC, reshown at D23 with more info of Rogue One being the headline attraction for D23.

    Trailer 1 - SDCC
    Trailer 2 - Barely any new footage, like 3 seconds or less and edited differently in October
    Trailer 3 - Barely any new footage, like 3 seconds or less and edited differently in December to hype up launch

    i'll probably be completely wrong ;) but this is what i hope for.

    I don't think they will start promoting Rogue One until TFA is released, they will release information on it but I doubt we will see actual "promotion"

    Id bet a final trailer in October.
    I still think they will just show footage at SDCC....but....hall H, maybe footage first then as the show starts to close down in that panel, a trailer to finish it off,just like at C7!!
    I assume tomorrow they will have a official statement of what we can possibly expect at all the starwars panels as it is only a week and a bit away.

    They're not going to wait until October to release a Full Trailer. They'll either release it at SDCC or D23.

    I know man....I just don't feel it this time. I feel like SDCC is too.....generic, as there is so many other non-SW things going on that will detract from the hype.

    I think you might be on to something. Maybe your trailer 2 will be at D23, and trailer 3 in october.

    8 days to go until the panel, 6 for conan to hopefully reveal something. NOW, if only trailer descriptions started to pop up, even fake ones just to have something to read.

    I've decided to go to SWC the same year as Episode VIII is released. I dont think SDCC is my thing, I rather want a plain Star Wars Festival like STAR WARS CELEBRATION. ;);)
