I didn't see many new movies in 2017, off the top of my head I only think I saw Bladerunner, The Last Jedi and The Disaster Artist in the theater. With the latter being the best film of the bunch in my opinion. I enjoyed TLJ but wouldn't call it the best movie of the year or anything. Bladerunner was visually impressive but unimpressive in every other way. I watched The Dark Tower later on home video and it was just too horrible to put into words. Not only was The Disaster Artist a better film than that but The Room itself was a better film than The Dark Tower. I'm not sure what other movies I saw with a 2017 release date, there were probably others but I can't think of them at the moment so I guess it's The Disaster Artist.

The Greatest Showman was outstanding.....victim of terrible marketing I guess. That movie has a very impressive following of a core of rabid fanatics, I have heard people seeing this movie 20-30 times.

For 2017 overall I will go with Dunkirk, followed by TLJ.

I'd agree with your top 3 but I would switch out Guardians for Homecoming and move Ragnarok to 2nd with Homecoming in 3rd. =)

Brawl in Cell Block 99 was great. I also loved Bone Tomahawk by S. Craig Zahler.
