this is a great post and I agree that we don't know much about the movie. Now this leaks what do they really tell us about the movie.
In my book not to much. The pictures supports many of the rumors we have hear for along time.
I have a feeling at JJ is sitting at pinewood laughing as he whispers "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."

 

I've seen a lot of the theories banded about here most of them seem to missing a common theme of the leaked pics. With the exception of Chewbacca and the Falcon they are all of new characters. I find it unlikely that the grave robber/dark knight is Luke or Leia and MUCH more likely that its Adam Driver's character. I did like the Theory that he is pretending to be good while working for the big bad, hence the X-Wing pilot outfit.

Thoughts
Grave Robber/Dark Knight- I think this is Adam Driver's character. IF the previous leaks about him being aristocratic are correct then it would be a logical for the character to have a somewhat feminine jawline. Traditionally the Aristocracy has been portrayed as "Dandy" or foppish. This would account for both those that see it and don't see it. As far as his "age" that could just be the way it is drawn not a depiction of his true age.

Daisy- Awesome look, She is obviously the main character. The Luke of this series. Also Star Wars has always been the story of Skywalker, she is the child of Leia or Luke. The shot of her being held by the Dark Knight she appears to be vacant/under his control. I believe we are looking at this from Luke's perspective. The other shot of her with the light saber and the dark knight with his red saber she again appears vacant and under his control.

Boyega- The are early concepts and you can tell cause he's white in them but it does match many of the rumors of him and Daisy journeying together. To me in the Shot with Daisy and Dark knight It looks as though he was battling the dark knight and losing.

Ships etc- They look great. The Pods plus other designs make it clear it is Tatooine and Daisy built the pod vehicles out of old pod racers. And I suspect Falcon pod, the hauler pod and the pod inside the downed AT-AT are the same just different versions.

The Millenium Falcon Carousel set up is probably a smaller version of the ship that's set up on a rig to rotate. Probably for some major stunt scenes, possibly a fight on the top of the ship.

 

It seems millenniumfalcon.com is down. What's the story with this site?

 

Cease and desist is a waste of time at this point. The images are everywhere.

 

there are 3 possibilities..

1. site is down for maintenance/overloaded
2. Disney have awoken and are swinging their saber at the leaks
3. the whole internet has crashed.. in which case why am i typing this? and what's the point of living?

 

I can't read what you typed because the internet is down and so you haven't actually posted anything. This post in turn is quite strange, as there is no way you'll be able to read it, as I can't post it.... what with the internet being dead.

 

One of Millennium Falcon pics ("FOODLES") is dated July 2013. The other ones that say "AVCO" on them are newer because that became a code name later on.

 

These guys had ton of exclusive leaks back in the day during the prequels. If I recall correctly they would release stills from the movie almost every day weeks before the movie was released. (I might be exaggerating, it's been 10 years!)

By the way I have taken the time to deblur one of the pictures with Photoshop. At least the signature is more readable now.

The question of the Arndt draft is something I thought about with my synopsis and looking at these. We have to remember the whole point was Arndt wanted to make it about the new characters to much for Abrams. There are potentially a lot of things that would've happened in the Arndt draft that got completely scrapped.

I'm not sure if the whole story idea got scrapped though, that would've been a lot of work for Kasdan and Abrams

 

Man, I hope so. I think it could be Driver's character- we haven't seen ANY of him in these photos.

 

Nor have we seen Luke, Leia, Han, Threepio, Artoo, Lando, Oscar Isaac, Domnhall Gleeson, or a bunch of others though. Wonder what's in the other leaked photos that are "out there"?

Edit: we did see the Han outfits at one point.

 

If you want to know how accurate some this concept art is look no further than the piece with the Falcon, Blockade Runner and outrider. Now look at the TMZ leaked pics of the buildings and entryway....it's pretty darn close.

Not to mention Greenham Common. They obviously targeted that early on.
