Agreed, DC needs to pick up the pace. If only they were as fast as The Flash!

It will be worth the wait hopefully. I bet we get a teaser trailer for Dawn of Justice this March.

I feel your pain. I'm a lifelong DC guy and GL has been my hero of choice since I got into comics. I have every GL comic from Showcase #22 to today. To say I'm a hardcore GL fan is putting it mildly.

I waited--my whole life--for the GL movie. It kills me that it was such a spectacular letdown. It just makes me sad when I try to rewatch it.

Oh man that sucks dude. I lucked out my favorite superhero growing up was Captain America and he got done right. Anyway I always thought the Lantern had one of the coolest costumes around but I did not care for the CGI suit at all in the movie. Defiantly should have made a real suit imo. Reynolds did better than I was expecting but he was doomed from the start. Here is to hoping they do better next go around (they will!) Are you hoping for Hal Jordan or John Stewart this time? I am personally hoping for Hal to get another shot.

Hal Jordan all the way. I love Guy and John and Alan, but Hal has always been my favorite super hero.

I think it'd be the best for the franchise to continue with Hal in the movies. Too much rotation of the characters weakens the franchise's name recognition. A lot went into bringing Hal back, and he's the only one with a good origin story. Alan has the next best origin story, but Hal's was always superior.

Mark Strong also had a pretty good performance as Sinestro. Shame a good cast got wasted like it did. Were you in the Nathan Fillion camp for Green Lantern? I remember a lot of people were gutted when he was not cast.

Nah, I think Fillion was always too old for the part. I want a younger Hal at the beginning of his career. I really wanted Chris Pine. After seeing him in the Star Trek reboot as Kirk, I was sold on him. Kirk and Jordan are pretty similar characters in their fictional worlds and I watched ST feeling like I was being robbed of him as Hal Jordan.

I liked Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan but the movie just sucked. It wasn't his fault though.

When they bring GL back to the big screen I wouldn't mind seeing John Stewart as the human Green Lantern.
    Idris Elba anyone?

Iris is pretty awesome In... well, everything he's in. He'd be great as John later in his career, a leader or trainer in the Corps. Not sure about him as young John starting out.

Man, I am really hyped for this, if Star Wars is my first favorite franchise ever, DC Comics is the second and vice versa.
I am not fan of Marvel, as a kid, I only saw some TV shows like Iron Man, X-Men and Spider-Man but never fell in love with Marvel.
Tough I must admit I am fan of the Movieverse, mostly Iron Man and Avengers and that is mostly because of Tony Stark character done by Robert Downey Jr.
    He is just brilliant.
I am huge fan of the comic books and yes, my most fav superhero is Batman with Flash being second. Only character I don't like is Wonder Woman.
All the works I read or saw her in, weren't doing her Justice in my opinion. She was this ''dumb macho'' character, only to be woman, and this striked me lot more in Justice League, as she was the only woman in the core assembly and the dumbest character at the same time. You know, I like smart women, like my girlfriend for example and dumb lady is unsexy itself and put some muscles on her, meeh.

Nolan's Batman trilogy, hands down. I saw all the movies in Cinema and was blown away. Not only he had his original take on it, but Nolan incorporated lot of the things from comic books in it, so in the end, we've got the most true to the comics Batman yet.

With Man Of Steel, I was hyped for the possibility it is in the same universe as the trilogy, which was later debunked and could've worked, but as a start of a joined universe - little late DC, but I am hyped. The opening Krypton scene with the battle afterwards was mindblowing!
It wasn't any weird fantasy and abstract space rock, but advanced and living alien society. I also liked the take on Clark, not starting as a reporter in Metropolis, but undergoing journey to indentify himself, which started since his childhood.
I respect the old Superman movies as a classic, for it's cult status, but I am no big fan of them. I think they reflected the old Superman from the 70's just well. It was the time when DC Comics was undergoing the change from cheesy superhero stories to more dark realms, which culminated in the 80's and Tim Burton must have been influenced a lot by Neil Adams' and Frank Miller's Batman works. It were his two Batman movies that I saw as a kid combined with the Batman TAS in the first half of 90's where I fell in love with the character, comics and superhero genre. But as I liked a Superman as a hero, thanks to the Donner's movies, he seemed cheesy and dumb to me, with the image of American character (with the dumbest incarnation of american cheesynes being Captain America, and I loved seeing it reflected in the recent movie), who can fly, smash trough rock and is ''SUPER'' with only weakness to a green rock. Batman wasn't dumb like that, he was human like we are, with no dumb weaknesess, his only weakness were his human limits and he ontained the skills by himself + being lucky to be incredibly rich, so he could develop various gadgets, including the coolest and greatest armored vehicle ever build.

Thanks to seeing the Superman TAS later, The Justice League TAS and reading arcs like Death Of Superman, I had to change my opinion on him.
Superman, the nowaday version, is actualy great character. Yeah, he is ''Super'' or viewed like this, but he as well have his set of challenges set by his abillities,
skills to learn, pull off and obstacles to go trough - not to mention is psyché, which itself, being on of the few surviving member of civilization, with the home, family and culture lost takes a huge toll. That is one of the reason I liked the scene of him killing of Zod, as he was portrayed more human and he didn't had an option.
Killing off an entire family or keep the morale, not staining himself and let him live and confine later? Well, I wonder what Batman will do with his creed of never to kill
in his situation, as because of him not killing Joker, he let the things be actually worse for everyone.

I liked everything about MOS, the Henry Cavill's acting, the music, visuals. My only con is maybe the Lois character, with her being virtually everywhere where something major goes on, being the only Metropolitan saved by Superman.... I don't have that problem with the city's destruction, as battling someone powerful like Zod, it was collateral damage, the whole Earth was at stake and it wasn't avoidable.

I am looking towards Batman V Superman a lot, tough the news surprised me and I was more anticipating a direct MOS sequel.
I was little skeptical towards the Ben Affleck casting, but I must admit, excluding his good acting, he looks like Bruce Wayne from Frank Miller's comic books
and with the costume mirroring the one in the comics? TAKE MY MONEY!

What am I afraid of is Wonder Woman and that, when you make series of Movies interconnected, one bad movie can shatter the whole image.
So I hope it won't happen. Marvel works great with this, but it took series of movies to be sure, DC doesn't have that yet.

After that, I am looking forward to the Flash and Green Lantern a lot and if Batman turns out great in BVS, I would love to see standalone Batman :)
