Did you think that Rey and Finn will be a couple in the future?

Rey and Kylo? Rey and Poe? Rey and Finn? I think you guys are overlooking the most obvious candidate:

If Rey ends up being his daughter or niece, I'm going to laugh a lot about this theory. Though wait!

If they are related then it makes this theory more likely, Luke clearly has a taste for this sort of thing.

I would be 100 percent ok with finn not getting the girl, because luke swooped in.

I'd be 200 percent ok with it, if it then turned out they were father and daughter.

Snoke definitely will be in a love triangle with Maz Kanata and Admiral Ackbar, Episodes VIII to XII will just be rom-coms

But seriously... They left it so open-ended, Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo... Anybody could hook up with anybody.

 

What if Episode VIII was the opposite of what everybody is expecting? Instead of Rey being mentored by Luke, what if Rey is there just to get Luke back into shape? She starts with throwing all of Luke's jet juice into the sea and after many scenes Luke transforms into the ROTJ badass he once was. He even dusts off his badass black ROTJ uniform only to notice that it finally fits again. They set off and Rey asks, "where are we headed?" Luke replies "To visit an old friend!" "Punch it Chewie!"

Oh and they also fall in love and have badass Jedi babies. – Started writing and forgot what the thread was about.

Rey: (presents the lightsaber to Luke)
Luke: You're hot!
Rey: Gross! We could be related!
Luke: Never bothered me before.

Bwahahahahaa.

 

Only if they want to completely destroy her character in my eyes. Which is quite possible, even likely.

I'm all for choice, and I wouldn't like it if Rey had to feel any sort of romantic obligation towards Finn only because the movie hasn't allowed her to even lay eyes on anybody else. If Finn wants to end up as Rey's love interest, I think he has to earn it first by actually competing with other guys (Kylo doesn't count).

I still feel a grudge towards ESB where Leia is conveniently paired up with Han Solo, because he is the only guy who is actually allowed (in the final cut) to have a two-way conversation with her on Hoth, while Luke is either in action or out of action. To me, that's scriptwriter magical thinking, and I don't want to see it again. Give the lady a real choice.

if Rey doesn't turn out to be a Skywalker and if she goes Dark that actually could set up Finn in the position of the jealous rescuer.

i don't think this is the way it's going, but who knows?

 

It would of course be a bit sad if they make Rey and Finn a couple, it would immediately belittle their friendship if there is also a sexual quality to it. .......

I'm fine

I hope Rey and Finn get together since they're just so cute together. I think there's a slight chance that Rey and Poe will get together, but seeing as how it looks like Rey will be isolated from both Finn and Poe together, I don't see that relationship going anywhere. If Finn and Rey end up as just friends, I'll be a little disappointed but okay with it. The only pairing I'm against is Rey and Kylo Ren. He tried to kill Finn and he did kill Han, Rey's surrogate father figure.

 

If Luke is not Rey's father I would seriously consider the "chicks dig power" option.
