Out of those I think either Phasma and/or Kylo dies.

I think Kylo is the least likely to get killed off. That mask is too iconic for Disney to put down.

I'd say this is the most likely to least likely:

    1. Phasma
    2. Hux
    3. Snoke
    4. Kylo

I don't like it one bit, but I think it is a given that Luke will die by the end of the trilogy (hopefully not in Episode VIII). After all this is not Luke's show, it's Rey's (and the rest of the next generation's) show, not the OT generation. That being said, Luke should be the one to start rebuilding the Jedi Order, and I don't mean by training the single Jedi who ends up doing it. I should be happy to see Jedi Master Luke Skywalker on the big screen at all, but I suppose I am greedy in wanting to see him live through this trilogy and long enough to ensure there are more than two or three Jedi.

No, kylo's gonna be where the main conflict is.
They have already set him against Rey, which may turn out to be family rivalry, he has all the unresolved history with Luke.
he did some pretty serious damage to fin. and there's the lea han and him thing going on still.
More likely there gonna bring in a new bad guy, who won't want to commit to more than one movie and kill him in the end of 8, probably not even plasma?

I think that if they did that then it would add, in my opinion, to the" absence of information" they've been doing so far.

or they realised he was more value alive so, kept him, but then that would make the case that he is more likely to stay in for the rest of the trilogy?

I don't think a major character (a secondary one maybe, and your definition might be different than mine) is going to die. It's the middle act. Maybe in IX. Only thing I could see if it was Luke, and he continued on Force Ghost wise. That being said though, I think there will be a lot of death.

I'm in the same boat. I don't think any of the main characters (or at least the returning ones from the OT and TFA) will get killed off. If anything, I would expect Luke to die, or even have Rey turn to the Dark Side (if that happens).

Luke could be on the chopping block because his powers steal the focus away from the other new characters, but Rey is an aspirational role-model for young children/girls according to Lucasfilm...like Ahsoka Tano. So wouldn't turn to the dark side, and it's redundant anyway as the series is overstuffed with villains anyway.

Certainly true. I do doubt she'll turn, but the idea and potential change in story intrigues me.

If they bring in a totally new bad person and just kill him off it wouldn't look so good for the movie since we got already so many new characters that we don't really know too much about, especially the villians (with the exception of kylo Ren.)

ahh i see, yeh i agree in a way. i like the approach that they develop lots of characters though, that we are aware of, though they are not necessarily central characters, i think it adds to the richness of the environment.
so you would prefer the developed the ones we already no more to make the deaths more significant if/when they were to happen?
do you see benicio del toro doing more than one movie?

Well no...but he's never been in a franchise that I know of yet but also if there are literally tens of characters running around then we can't be emotionally vested into every single one of them or the movies would be like 3 + hours long so having a character die would make sense if it was one of the ones we were introduced to but also only if it's done right.

I'd say Phasma (there's practically no use for her unless they do something HUGE with her).

I kind of see the dynamic of the villains versa the heroes being more developed this series. It's parallel to one another. The villains not having that same comrade feel though. It's an interesting thing. Before, it was only Vader and the Emperor later on. We had Tarkin, but we knew little about his character, he was just the villain, General Veers, etc. A few just had that company feel, it was their job. I get that a bit with Phasma, but Hux is a real character with development and a possible arc of substance. It's possible they do more with Phasma, though she was just there most of TFA. Maybe it's because the story is just as much about Kylo Ren as it is Rey, him being the 3rd gen Skywalker we know about. As for Poe, though he was in the story at pivotal times, but he wasn't there much. I imagine though his role will increase as well. I wouldn't get attached to any new people though.

IF Hux dies I think it would be in the beginning of VIII when he and Ben reach Snoke's house to show his disappointment in his team.

yeh true, the conflict with hux and kylo-ren is interesting to watch, might be nice to see where that leads to.
