OFFICIAL NEWS Episode VII Subtitle Revealed!!

I adore the title. It really implies the awakening of a new awesome star wars generation. :-D

 

Conceptually the subtitle is interesting but the phrasing couldn't be more dull... Long before the announcement of the sequels I had one particular title for a potential sequel film, something that would mark the beginning of grand new saga, incorporate japanese, samurai, Kurosawa influences the original films & Lucas both share and sound classy at the same time...

THE WAY OF THE FORCE

For me the wording is very important. In my humble opinion this choice would underline the mysticism and all present aspect of the force and also hint at the new able fore wielders in the film.

 

Let's face it, they coulda called it "Hand over Fists Full of Dollars" and we would still go see it

 

That's it the Star Trek guy and Dinasaur woman did it. Now I have people to Blame i can move on.

I knew George wasn't involved I just knew it! See us old fans may not spend more time grooming then our wives but we can still sense a disturbance in the force. This would not have happened in the 80's... guess times just change, I hope the force was ok when it woke up, we can organize someone to give it a little cuddle if it wants; what with all those terrible politicians and teachers and all.

 

Someone who has leaked and spoiled more movies than I have seen...

I have heard this from several people... and while I think this may be a better title for the film we are all talking about, the one they chose is probably better for the one they made...

 

Stop using reason TIDMADT;

I am trying to have a rant and although it will take another message or two to move on. That use of negative feedback to burn someone for an opinion (which you have quoted) has forced me to play devils advocate and fight the bad fight in order to make right a greater wrong: being mindless acceptance of dogma and canon and the victimization of free speech, civic virtue and good manners.

I am just saying that because we love the brand and always have, does not mean we need to turn on each other for differences of opinion, nor should we accept everything that is fed to us by marketing machines and just blindly praise whatever is thrown our way.

I will continue to mindlessly dislike this title just to make a point.

Not sure if it's been suggested (I don't have time to look through 15 pages before work).

What if the title is referencing "The Force" on the surface but is eluding to a different type of force at the same time? As in the main villain/plot of the film itself.

Maybe a new faction/empire emerges in this film that serves as "The Force" they are REALLY talking about.

...or maybe I haven't had my coffee yet and might be thinking into it too much. We will see

 

I like the title because:

1- The first movie of the PT and OT set the tone/theme
2- It's Star Warsy yet cryptique

This is what I meant by cryptique -- the title has a double meaning in which we fans cannot decipher accurately. However, IMO I think the Force alludes to the evil entity that is the main villain which I am strongly leaning toward being Darth Plagueis. Also the Force at large awakens or is revived through the proliferation of Force adepts or users. (Jedi & Sith)

BTW Peeps what are you waiting for? Get in on the action and make a bet as to when and where you think the teaser trailer will drop!

I could be wrong on this but I thought a new film was to be released every year after 2015. If that's the case we should have some kind of announcement on a spin off film. At the very least they are working on pre production with maybe a similar schedule as episode 7. Oops I mean The Force Awakens.

2016: Boba Fett
2017: Episode VIII
2018: Solo (Han Solo)
2019: Episode IX
2020: Red Five

That's the "best guess" official as of now schedule...

 

Taking the relative scarcity of official lead-ins surrounding The Force Awakens which is THE flagship in the new Star Wars movie series, I'm not surprised to see virtually nothing released concerning the 'lesser' spin-offs. Maybe next winter, just after the EP7 biz starts to cool off? Perhaps a teaser trailer before The Force Awakens? Until then, promoting two movies at the same time isn't exactly sound (especially since TFA will drown the spin-off in audience expectation and excitement, and the general audience may become confused as to which movie is the one they're actually buying tickets for).

 

I think, however, we will see the first trailer for the spin off at TFA
