    Anything's possible, but I guess we have a couple of questions to ask about the scenario: Would it do justice to the character as the older fans knew him and the new fans will know him? What would he have to gain by joining the rebels? And isn't that potentially Kallus' story arc?

    Maybe he takes them down on the inside and becomes an inadvertent pawn to thrawn and when he realizes it that's when he finally becomes "good" and sacrifices himself so no one can ever seduce him again
