    On a complete subject change, with the new released Rebels trailer showing the Interdictor Star Destroyers, making them canon now, I'm seeing a few nods to Thrawn's trilogy more and more, with the "beyond known space", and the references to Luke/Anakins old lightsaber. I just have to wonder how many more EU ideas are waiting to be seen...

    I know JJ likes to break up the scoring/dubbing/mixing sessions into segments rather than do it all at once like most directors do... they had a weeklong scoring session in June and now in October... The Last Indiana Jones score was conducted over 10 days, so if they did 5 days in june and then another 5 now could be it...

    also I know JW has been having some health issues, he canceled all his concerts and appearances for August so maybe his health was the reason they're just know finishing up the scoring... Dunno, but it's coming up and they're gonna be finishing soon... they've already set the Premiere date of 12/14... Wonder if that's when we'll get the new trailer??

    There's a bunch of sites that just regurgitate or repurporse what others originate. They aren't doing original reporting about Star Wars. Just like Screenrant and International Business Times and others. It's just SEO link bait. At least on a messageboard like here when it's done it doesn't have the automatic aura of authenticity when we copy and paste actual originating sources.

    Answer : JJ wants to homage the original trilogy as much as possible so he added a few plot holes :p:p:p:p

    No seriously , perhaps BB will surprise Rey here and take matters into his own hands. Wasn't there a rumour that he shuts down when in danger and hides like a turtle. Maybe he wakes up again when she arrives to help.

    I'd be willing to give Wendig another shot if he writes the whole trilogy. I liked Sinjir, but all the other characters I just didn't find that interesting. Tremmin especially... if I wanted another Ezra I'd just go back to watching Rebels.

    Did you read the other Journey to TFA books? I really like the Luke Skywalker book, and now I'm starting Lost Stars... that one feels a lot more natural to me.

    It's also bad because they've taken a piece of Star Wars music and skipped a few bars.
    That's actually worse than simply not having the Fox fanfare.

    And I don't know... but "When you wish upon a Star [Wars]" sounds like an appropriate fanfare to me.


    It is definitely Rey flying it. The behind the scenes video shows imax cameras... JJ has confirmed that there is only one imax scene in the movie, and we already know that it's the Jakku falcon chase. Also, the gimbal movements line up with the same crazy flying.

    So I guess she's flown it before?


    EXACTLY.

    I was so excited when the game was announced with DICE developing. I thought "finally, someone is going to make these games properly!"
    Especially with all their talk of wanting to do things their own way.
    In reality, it feels like that copied everything I didn't care about in the original Battlefront games, and either broke or removed the things I actually liked.

    It's so disappointing...


    Maybe BB-8 is powered off? I'm not too sure though...

    Smuggler's run addresses this topic a little bit. Once the antagonists figure out Han Solo is standing before them, they want the Falcon. They think he has it. But in the beginning of the TFA prologue and the ending of the prologue Han and Chewie aren't said to step foot on the Falcon and it's more ambiguous as to whether or not he has the Falcon. It's annoying.

    Rey flies the Falcon in the BTS video from Comic-Con. Abrams said in an interview they filmed this in a practical manner so that the natural sunlight will be seen.

    Hence why the gimbal cockpit was outside, and not inside a studio... all that natural daylight.

    But none of this explains why Rey seems so good at flying it... unliess I am missing something?
