Bad or good movie is purely subjective to the beholder of that opinon.

Using hamill as a poster boy for hating on Rian, editing his words, making him feel bad for talking, has nothing to do with the subjective outcome of ones opinion.

and this is whats called 'damage control' but sure, take messages from twitter over footage telling and showing us the truth. i can admit to a possible change of Mark's opinion with the film overall, but not on his view on the character of Luke, which he hasnt actually specifically mentioned (tactfully so, imo).

tbh, Yoda has always been jarring to me. he was in the originals (purposely), was in the PT (intentionally showing a younger, more active Yoda, but completely different personality) and again in the ST (back to OT, which makes sense chronologically, however misses the mark completely when it comes to his 'burn everything' attitude/philosophy). i also thought id like the puppet version of Yoda when i heard the rumours/leaks of him featuring in TLJ, but after seeing the m film, i think CGI (closer to ROTS, with touches to make him look older or possibly inline with the puppet version) would have been better.

or the actual footage unedited. ironic post, considering.. anyhow, i understand you have your views and Mark has his (even when he changes them), its just quite evident that he never clarified this with his character, Luke, just the film itself.
anyhow, moving on..

 

It's pretty obvious Mark or any other actor for that matter is not going to say he doesn't like a film where he has worked in so soon after release (and I'm not saying he doesn't like it).
What is pretty clear to someone who has watched the interviews is that he had several concerns about the movie and specially about Luke's story arc.
This is not taken out of context or edited in any way he stated it very clearly on several interviews:
"I fundamentally disagree with virtually everything you decided about my character"
"I totally disagree with what you think about Luke"
I think he was both honest and diplomatic in his interviews, he could have still thought the movie was good despite his misgivings about the story.

 

He's not papering or glossing or anything. He had his idea of what Luke should be, and Rian had his. He's not as outraged as some try to make him out to be.

 

FYI- for any who are interested and for those complaining about some of the missing Resistance pilots like Snap Wexly, the Visual Dictionary explains it with the following

He's joking right? Or did Luke force project himself to keep Holdo company while she was alone on the Raddus? And if so, was it to ask her why she sold Rey for drinking money?

He must be trolling or it's some kind of blooper, because there's no way to make Luke and Holdo share a scene. Wouldn't make any sense. Maybe Mark voiced another character or was a masked extra, but I think it's unlikely.
