    When Hux declared...

...it made me wonder, since he is part of something called the "First Order," if he and his "Order" really believe this somehow a battle between order and chaos.

That actually seems to be right somehow, given there is a quote from the TFA novelization on this very topic from Kylo Ren in the entry on the First Order (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/First_Order).

    As for Snoke's possible role:

While, with the three leaders -- Hux, Kylo Ren, and Snoke -- there seems to be the semblance of a triumvirate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumvirate), Snoke's "Supreme Leader" title and the deference of Hux and Kylo seem to point to him as the leader of the First Order, especially as they consult and take orders directly from him.

Once we have more details as to his true motivations and agenda, we can begin to understand what the First Order truly means to Snoke.

that's interesting. other than having him like a pitt bull on a long leash, i barely see Snoke allotting any real power to Kylo Ren.

Ren almost single-handedly got Starkiller destroyed and all but put the map in the hands of the Resistance because of his inability to stay on task.
this does not strike me as someone Snoke wants running his "government". would you? hahaha

honestly, i can't even imagine what he's thinking beyond catching a butterfly. i don't think he wants to take her to Snoke, but if he has to, he'd prefer she came along willingly ~ definitely. it gives her a fighting chance.

i suspect that's part of it? we'll see if they meet in person in viii.

Vader simply let his personal feeling get in his way. Snoke needed to make sure that will not happen with Han Solo. So he basically dared Kylo to kill his father so that wouldn't be an issue.
