As George Orwell put it "let the meaning choose the word and not the other way around".

    bal•ance (bălˈəns)

    • n.
      A weighing device.
    • n.
A state of equilibrium or parity characterized by cancellation of all forces by equal opposing forces.
    • n.
The power or means to decide.
As a drummer (and seeker of balance) I was very proud of my username "Fulcrum" until SW Rebels claimed it from under me!

This post was heading for a mini rant about how "balance" in SW context has only one meaning and that it couldn't be clearer. Then I saw that third definition and now it's completely thrown me. Back to my state of confusion...

Wow! Could that mean that without the Jedi, there are no alternatives for parents who want "career opportunities" for their children? We still don't know how the First Order acquire these kids but I doubt they're all kidnapped from their families.
