Which is a riff on the lesson Luke learned in Empire Strikes Back and is in general the exact reason why Luke is on the island. So the third lesson is more holistic for the entire movie and it wasn't really necessary to show it in the narrative of the present movie.

Me too! When I read the part description yesterday I hated it as Luke wouldn't leave people to suffer and die. But this would've worked and sounds hilarious.

Indeed. If you rush in without all the facts then you make mistakes. And you're right, you can see why they dropped it - it was absolved into the story anyway by actually showing her rush off and be proven wrong. The missing 3rd lesson then also working to show she left too early.

In the end, the indirect version of the lesson is way better than the version they cut from the movie. The third lesson, as it is represented in the alleged deleted scene does remind me a lot of something you'll find in a fairy tale or something Lucas and Spielberg would have come up with in the early days. I'd love to see it.

It's funny, in the build up I slagged off the look of those caretakers rotten! I loved them in the movie.

    Third lesson.
    "Legends of Luke Skywalker"

    Aya's grandmother asks Luke.
    What have you learned?

    "To see the light side and the dark side of the Force as sunlit foam and shaddowed eddies in the same Tide;
to accept that the Force has a greater will than the individual;to trust that sometimes to yield is not to surrender but to dissolve the ego on the grand web that connects all to all"....And there is more ways to serve good than by fighting and confronting evil. You also serve good by standing guard and maintaining pools of tranquility and peace;you also rebuke evil by showing that there is another way than death and warfare. We are all connected trough the Tide, and there's time and place to rest,as well as time and place to act"

Its perfect.Syrens give milk to Luke by the will of the Tide.
Sea gives him everything he needs since he thrusts the Tide.Just like on Lewe'l.
...its obvious such small Island has no much drinking water...what does Rey drink while on Ahch-To?Is there maybe deleted scene in which she has a second thought?:p

What bugged me was that Luke ate fish but that Mark Hamill said Luke was a vegetarian a few months back. Meh.

Many good quotes and one liners in this movie. When Kennedy had said so during the future filmmaker panel I took it with a pinch of salt. But after I saw the movie, I was quoting this kinda stuff continuously.............and humming the music at the toilet......as did the guy next to me.:p

This film Is provocative,at the end I started to love it due to it.

Imagine Luke made love to a woman ,wow, and had unknown child with her?
Wow,I am sure he could do it,sounds more easy than bilocating to the far side of the galaxy.

He wanted never to be found.

So who gave map to Lorr San Tekka?

    How about Aya?

Meh, depends. The oceans these days have high levels of pollution. And too much mercury leads to the Dark Side.
