Is anyone actually hyped for this movie?

Am I excited? Why yes, its Star Wars. Ive been more excited since Ron Howard took over. That's nothing against L&M, I just like RH as a director. Am I as hyped as I am for a Saga movie, not quite. But that just me, I know the characters and have journeyed with them. These are stand-alone so I have to see them to become invested in them but I will see because it is Star Wars.

 

I have had a hard time from the start getting attached to the idea of this film, but over the course of the marketing, I have slowly creeped back into enjoying the notion of this film and seeing multiple aspects of it. I will be seeing the film on May 26, so I can't wait to see this new take on the Star Wars brand.

 

I am insanely pumped. I want a Chewie centric movie, and this is as close as it gets. And no one will convince me that we couldn't use more Chewie...

 

My hype is pretty low. Has been sense day one.. But may turn out for the best. I may be presently surprised with the movie.

 

My hype is pretty high, but my expectations aren't out of this world. I enjoy anything Star Wars so I'm fairly positive I'll enjoy this addition as well!

 

It's hard for me to believe any true SW fan isn't hyped. Those that go around trashing SW "because Disney" or "because Kathleen Kennedy," or because there have been more women added to the franchise, or those that say "they're just going to have to impress me" or go out of their way to express their disinterest, all just seem so darn edgelordy to me.

 

I will say I am hyped about them. I can say also some of them have not been necessary to add to the story. With that none can ruin what I like about SW in a single movie either. When the main story as a whole is complete then I can make a better decision on it. I will always be happy for new movies.

 

Absolutely, even to the point of not watching any more tv spots or trailers. Rogue One despite a couple things I didn't like was an amazing movie. They've proven to me they can dip outside the Jedi vs. Sith and still make a good movie. So yeah, super excited, already have tickets.

 

I think it will be better than Rogue One. However, I don't think it will be phenomenal. There hasn't been a phenomenal Star Wars movie in a long time...

 

I wanted a SOLO film so I'm hyped. It looks great. ANH is my favorite Star Wars film so I hope they keep making films leading up to that era. I got Rogue One now Solo that will compliment ANH! Keep Churning them out LFL next OB1

 

Yes. I am. But I have not been excited for all that long. Life gets in the way.

Based on all the trailers and (film only) commercials Solo looks good.

I am a big spoiler fan (as far as I see it the term itself is a gigantic misnomer) and (unfortunately) TPTB have done a great job of clamping down on them. This diminishes my excitement level considerably in the months leading up to the premiere. That being said, the film looks like it is soon to become one of my favorites.

 

Hyped? No, not really. Nothing against this movie, but the older I get, the less I'm hyped for ANYTHING (Star Wars or not). However, the increased frequency of Star Wars movies doesn't help the waning enthusiasm. I'll still see this movie, however.

Hyped? No. I've been hyped before in this new era of SW and that did not work out for me.

I'm looking forward to it, and will see it in the theatre but... it won't be opening night... I would however guess it'll be sometime in the week after release.

 

As a Star Wars fan i'm excited - not super hyped cause for me it's reserved for Saga movies.
I'm more opened for experiments within SW Stories so even if it's just a decent movie i will be satisfied, just bring something new to the table.
I just want to have fun in a galaxy far far away with Chewie and Han (focus on their relation) with dodger Lando.

 

next thursday i will be nervous and excited to be seeing a brand new Star Wars movie on opening night.. the same as i have been for the other 7 that i've seen all on opening night (all except ANH and ESB - i was too ikkle)

i don't care what any review says. i don't care what any movie was like prior to this one. i don't care what the box office numbers may or may not be. i don't care who directs, produces or stars in the movie. i don't care how 'saturated' we may be with new Star Wars films.

I will be there thursday completely geeking out as per usual, and wearing a minimum of 1 piece of SW apparel (it will take me longer to decide what to wear than the running time of the movie)

i kinda figured i would wander in after the reviews and such like you, but after seeing the 1st trailer, i jumped on the hype train. i'm keeping my expectations to a low roar though. excited because it's Star Wars, still looking a little slanty at poor Ehrenreich.
