1000 generations, not 1000 years. Assuming the average age for Star Wars person to produce a child is something like 20, that means that the Jedi order been around for at least 20,000 years... ...and that's just the order, not the early or proto-Jedi.

I somewhat disagree. A whole bunch of people seem convinced that midi-chlorians ruined the whole concept of the force, when it didn't even change anything except for the fact that not everyone can use the force. The midi-chlorians also expanded upon the force lore and introduced us to the origin of life in the galaxy, expanded upon immortal life, and the various aspects of the force.

There is just a limit to how scientific we can get with in-universe concepts.

Yes, the Death Star left Geonosis a number of years ago. A habitable shell entered the space around Geonosis approximately 5 years post-ROTS and once construction on the basics were complete, it was most likely moved to Scarif or wherever.

The problem with this information is that Admiral Tarkin doesn't know about the Death Star at the beginning of the novel Tarkin, yet we see him observing the Death Star at the end of ROTS. So, have the Lucasfilm story group retconned the scene? I don't know, as I remember the novel stating that the newly appointed Grand Moff Tarkin walked around the majority of the Death Star, and the Death Star at the end of ROTS doesn't even have a complete skeleton. I tweeted Pablo once and he didn't answer back, so I don't know?

Wouldn't that be a mistake by the writer of Tarkin? But accordin to this here the DS was mentioned in Tarkin. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wilhuff_Tarkin

I still wonder how the relations between the characters will be: Tarkin vs. Krennic. And when will Galen Erso step into the picture?!

 A millennia is one thousand years. Darth Bane bought about the Rule of Two near the end of the Sith/ Jedi war over 1000 years ago. You said that the "for over a thousand generations" line referred to the Darth Bane reign? I said that it didn't as a generation is measured by how long it takes to produce offspring on average. Even if the average age was 13, that's still over 13,000 years the Jedi were around. That's 12,000 before Bane was conceived.

No, I've just checked the first chapter here on my cloud reader and there's nothing to imply he didn't know about it at any time since the scene in RotS

Yep, good call! I missed that before! Looks like Jedah to me! And I hope we see geonosis. I kinda thought we'd get the life of the Death Star from when it "leaves port". If not, then I'd have to ask, how long was that thing floating around before anyone noticed? Before the "test" at alderran? You know what I mean?

Absolutely! Such a top secret weapons project shouldn’t hop around the galaxy and dropping by on planets with a high fluctuation of pilgrims and all kind of spacefaring travelers. At least not if those witnesses are not silenced quickly. Umh...

I predict that Jedha will be decimated by the Death Star, however there will be some sort of issue with firing the weapon, so instead of destroying Jedha outright like Alderaan, the planet(moon?) will be devastated but not entirely destroyed in the same manner as Alderaan. I think that's what we see in the trailer when Jyn's ship is out running the huge dirt tidal wave.
