SPECULATION Knights of Ren Hierarchy

hahaha ~ i totally laughed when i saw the Revenent too! and i should probably clarify: i hate Hux because he's a great awful villain worthy of hating. as opposed to i just hate Snoke (conceptually, in execution, as a character, in his performance....)

i wonder if the female technician made it off Starkiller. presumably someone had to help Hux drag Kylo Ren to an escape shuttle. maybe Hux met Phasma coming out of the garbage compactor, though. she's gotta survive too somehow.

Hux saved everyone of value. It is in his nature. He likes to be liked by people who really matter. Not those prequel people in the Hosnian System. Better to be hated by them, because he hates them anyway.

hahaha lol "Even Hux is gone!"......off to save some n00bs. Hux is the only doing a proper job. I really think he should take Snoke's place and become Space Napoleon. Have a few women here and there, some legitimate, other's not, wage some war, make some peace. He can do it, I know he can.

 

i am totally on board with Hux being the big bad. and even though Starkiller goes supernova, i agree he's the only one in the FO who succeeds at anything and maintains his poise. even when he goes to tell Snoke it's all over: the chamber is collapsing behind him and he just sort of flinches. gotta appreciate his utter fanaticism.

 

I like that you like your own idea, and are okay telling everyone as such. Kudos.

 

He would totally do what that A-wing pilot did with the executor...if Snoke asked him.

 

I haven't seen enough of Snoke to judge his character yet but his voice was slightly disappointing even if I understood that they were trying to emphasise how damaged he was. I will withhold judgement until I see more.

Phasma will survive due to the mystical powers of Kathleen Kennedy and GoT fans, their fervour will propel her through space into a FO transport safe and sound.

Tell me about it. If TPTB don't develop the KoR in the films or the extra materials then they will see a tantrum that will make Kylo's look tame.

 

for me he's the only really serious misstep in the whole movie. he should have just been...i don't know. a real person for one thing ~ and not a guy sitting on a toilet in a robe. does not inspire fear or awe and is so obviously evil that, once again, it makes Kylo Ren seem kinda like an idiot (like Anakin in the PT).

no lie. i want a whole series pre-TFA of just Kylo Ren, the KOR, and Phasma (why not?) just planet-hopping and trashing people looking for Lor San Tekka ~ hahaha.

I don't know if somebody has mentioned this yet but, could some of the wannabes that appeared in the Darth Vader comics be part of the Knights of Ren? Those that were created by the mysterious agent Cylo-IV that was working for the Emperor (Darth Vader # 7):



So far from the comics we do know Commander Karbin was finished by Vader in the last issue of the serie "Vader Down" but what about the others? Obviously there is still more comic issues to be released during this year, but it could be a possibility. None of them were FS.

I used to think that those might be the knights of Ren before I saw the movie. I even though Snoke might be one of those guys because someone told me Snoke was half mechanical and that she had seen it in some leaked concept art.

By the way, does the knight on the left have a robo-crab arm?

 

Based on our current knowledge, I think we can make the following assertions:
1. Kylo Ren is master of the Knights of Ren, a group that follows the Dark Side. We are still unclear whether other members of the KOR are force-sensitive.
2. The Star Wars The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary states that the KOR first started operating following the Galactic Civil War. We also know they existed prior to Kylo Ren joining their ranks. This means he was most likely not their first master.
3. The TFA Visual Dictionary also states that the KOR is under the command of Supreme Leader Snoke, although Snoke himself refers to Kylo as the group's master. It is unclear if the KOR was started by Snoke or someone else.
4. The KOR does not operate within the hierarchy of the First Order which hints at the group being autonomous.

Am I missing anything?

 

Im a bit confused, can someone help clear me up? Did Snoke refer to Kylo as 'a Master of the KOR', or 'the Master of the KOR'? I wasnt sure if Kylo was a Master, like a Jedi Master, or more like a KOR Jedi Grand Master, and thus leader? Am I making sense? Im not sure, as I just bit the dust chasing a sick pony around a paddock in the dark to give it medicine and banged my head pretty hard.

 

I thought it was essentially "The Master" as he just says "Even you, Master of the Knights of Ren..."

 

When I caught a glimpse of them in The Force Awakens and later saw the concept art behind them, The Knights of Ren somehow remind me of the Nazgul (Ring Wraiths) from The Lord of the Rings:

Imagine if the Knights of Ren were actually former Sith or actually spirits or spectral agents conjured up perhaps by Snoke from something akin to the Netherworld of the Force (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Netherworld_of_the_Force) via something inspired by the now-legend concept of transfer essence (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Transfer_essence)

Or maybe they were Snoke's former creations, since he does seem to liken himself to a sculptor:

Thanks, does make it sound like Kylo's the leader. Guess Snokes isn't into using definite or indefinate articles when speaking Basic.

That's from the script so yeah pretty explicit that Kylo is THE MASTER. Makes you wonder what these other Ren are about.
My guess is that they are all Sith wannabees who live off the scraps of knowledge Snoke feeds them - thus preventing them from being a threat to him.

 

Snokes voice sounded very sarcastic in the german synchronisation when he said those line ( "even you..".). My first thought was that he does not "admire" Kylo and his KOR that much. Like they would be a gang of street fighters with Kylo having the little honor to rule them because of his raw but not fully developed force powers.
