    A Quite Place

Yes I made it through this with out trying to flee the cinema by the nearest exit (My normal reaction to Scarey Films Is very similar to H from Ready Player one)
But I actually enjoyed this as it’s more a tense thriller then a straight up scary film.

Saw it in theater this morning. I had tears rolling down my cheeks because I was laughing so hard. Thumbs up!

The Great Beauty. 2014 Italian winner of an Oscar for the Best Foreign Film. Wow. Just wow. This is film is just beautiful. Rome has never looked better in a motion picture. Toni Servillo's main role as Jep Gambardella is a masterclass of acting. Wow.

Hostiles. A western with Christian Bale. It was enjoyable but maybe a little bit dragging at some points. This movie reminded me alot of 3:10 to Yuma, another western with Christian Bale.

I wanted a more open ended end. Maybe just a close up of his face while he makes his decision.

i think this is a movie where it's absolutely more important that he actually decides.

PS. Also, I have no idea how they did the artificial gravity chambers but they look so real. Chapeau bas to whoever came up with the way to film them.

I liked the idea of Penniwise. As a newcomer, I expected the film to be a more realistic portrayal of a psycho in a clown costume. Imagine my surprise lol.

And yet I liked the idea of the baddie. He's hilariously unsettling, which is an original mix. The camera work is great, especially when fixing on his face. The movie's weird, and that's why I liked it. Some images are still in my head. It's kinda silly, but in a good way. Finally an original take on the usual tropes and an interesting camera work. Too many movies feel samey nowadays.

Well, Pennywise is not a psycho in a clown costume. It's an alien spider (too bad we haven't seen this yet in the first movie). xD

Have you seen the original TV movie? There were similiar ways of filming.

Well, saw Solo for the 2nd time on Friday - a satisfactory SW adventure
Deadpool 2 on Sunday afternoon - slow start but ultimately a very funny, well made film
But the last film I watched was The Audition

    Thoroughly enjoyed it

Molly's Game. Such a great story and with Sorkins writing makes it even better.

I haven't seen the movie yet, are they doing something different with what It is? If they're still going the same route that was probably a pretty big spoiler for the other poster.

The first chapter was quite different to the book and the TV special. So yes, they might do something different.

A spoiler for a 28 years old movie or a 32 years old book...

I agree, it's a pretty old spoiler (and hopefully they do something different) but if the person is saying they haven't read it, and from what they say it sounds like they haven't seen it either (maybe they have though, but they thought it was really just a maniac in a clown suit so I doubt it), I would hold off on telling them. We wouldn't think the Vader/Father thing would be a spoiler at this point but if somebody is saying they're watching Ep IV for the first time and about to watch V, I wouldn't volunteer the spoiler just because it's been a long time. Maybe they'll do something different, I always hated that part of it anyway. So for me it wasn't a plot twist I would have cared if somebody spoiled.

Annihilation. I don't think that I liked it, but I haven't totally made up my mind yet.
