Its easy. A large wheel shaped Discovery set was built vertically, and was slowly revolved at walking pace in the opposite direction of the walking/jogging actors. The camera operator could either sit strapped to a seat holding the camera to simulate a fixed view while the actor walks/jogs "around" the wheel, or carefully walk/jog behind the actor while filming to see thewheel move around while the actor remains walking/jogging on the spot.

The same technique for the moon voyage, but on a smaller scale. The ring the attendant is walks "around" on isn't moving, but the room in the foreground and the elevator behind it is....

Hamsters have been doing it for far longer than humans....

Coco is on Netflix so I finally checked it out the other night. I expected it to be emotional, because it's Pixar, but I still did not expect it to be that emotional.

Looking to give the new Bladerunner a try tonight, since it got added to HBO.

I re-watched Yojimbo (=> the precursor and a huge inspiration for A Fistful of Dollars). It's still one of the best Samurai movies ever made and I have to say it's better than its western conterpart/remake.

Actually, now that I think about it that sounds more like a Cinemax Friday/Saturday night special. What they call them? Erotic thrillers, LOL!

I really liked that movie. Thought it was better than the original.

Haven't gotten to it yet, unfortunately. But it's still definitely on the list, it's just been a busy week with installing a pool in our backyard and getting a new puppy. But as soon as I can, I'll check it out!

I was disappointed with Bladerunner 2049 though I've only seen it once and that was however long ago it's been since release. But then again I wasn't a fan of the original the first time I saw it either, not until I was a little older. As a kid it was like a tease because it looked all cool and science fictiony and starred Harrison Ford so it should have been awesome but it was all "boring" and Harrison was not being Han Solo or Indy enough for my liking.

Solo, The Star Wars Story, two weeks ago, but if you talk about non-Star Wars movie, it be Deadpool 2 three weeks ago.

    Re-watched The Incredibles and Halloween.

I think "The Incredibles" is one of the best Superhero movie ever made. But I don't really think it's much for kids. Yes, the action is fun and exciting. But there alot of jokes, themes and situations you can't understand and comprehend as a kid. I would love to see Pixar doing an animated Star Wars movie.

"Halloween" and Michael Myers is still the father of horror. Nothing more to say about that.

There is no movie which formed modern horror more than Halloween. That's what I meant.

Barton Fink. One of the few Coens' film I haven't seen. I think I liked it...? I need to watch it a couple more times to let it soak in. It's definitely one of the weirder films they've made.

Pawel Pawlikowski's Cold War is so far my favourite film of 2018. Beatifully shot, with fantastic acting and amazing music performances. The story is also deeply rooted in Polish hostory and culture, what I definitely appreciate. Not only that, it is also shorter than 90 minutes. You don't see that often, do you?
