    It seems like it.

Actually it was in The Force Awakens novelisation, not in Bloodline.

Belly button, he had an umbilical cord at one point, came from someone's womb. Proof of being a humanoid to me.

''There has been an awakening, have you felt it'' - Never implies that he (Snoke) has felt it. Just that he knows about it.

So Star Wars says he is powerful on the dark side of the force. Logic indicates he is force sensitive or a force wielder, which would be good considering he needs to finish Kylo's training.

But just wondering about the choice of words.... Powerful on the dark side of the force. How much force power does he actually possess?

no he asked Ren if he felt he never says he feels it.... vs. palpatine with Vader he tells him he either forsees it or feels it or when talking about Luke he says odd i have not felt it.... the verbs and the adjectives are different....

If this does turn out to Be RAx is snoke then i think he has to use tools not the force but then again i am still 50/50 on the fence if this is the same person

If Snoke isn't Force sensitive then he must be using the book Using the Dark Side For Dummies to finish Kylo's training.

snoke is not suppose to be human but humanoid
    --- Double Post Merged, Jul 29, 2016 ---
snoke may be a force wielder i just have not seen it is all as for the database it is misleading on a couple of things --we know lucas films wants you to think he is a force wielder --- I am just saying show me .... he may or may not be... now i do suspect he has another close to him that is a very strong force wielder in his inner circle and that is not where Ren is at Ren is not in his inner circle

This quote from the TFA novel suggests that Snoke is force sensitive - “Kylo Ren. It appears that a reminder is in order. So I will show you the Dark side. Bring the girl to me.

And also, Kylo Ren says that Snoke could sense his pull to the light. I'm going with Snoke being a force sensitive. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be
the boy that kills the girl in those EP. VIII rumors regarding the origin of the Force.

It's mentioned in Life Debt that the Eclipse disappeard and starwars.com says that Snoke has a mobile command base. Maybe Snoke is chilling aboard the Eclipse?

It's late but here is part of my argument as to why Rax = Snoke. Please consider this....

    1. Why introduce a character so similar to Snoke just to have Snoke essentially do the same things in order to become Supreme Leader?
    2. They omit details on his height and force sensitivity because if they say Rax is powerful with the dark side and 7 ft tall, we'd have it pretty much confirmed. They will not do that until the next book or Episode 8 comes out.
    3. The "needing children" and Hux connection was purposely done. They could have made up a different character if there was no connection. They deliberately wrote in Brendol Hux to subtly tie them together.
    4. Rax in playing the long game. Snoke is too. He's willing to wait patiently for many years in order to correct Palpatines mistakes and finish what they started.
    5. The color red. You may think I'm reaching here, but when Rax was described at having Red tapestry in his office and that he added color to break up the greys, I immediately thought of the long red curtains on Starkiller Base and the red paint on the new Tie Fighters. Rax/Snoke added a splash of color to the First Order.
    6. If you replace the name Rax with the name Snoke in the novel, the story makes total sense.

And seriously, i don't mean this in a bad way but what makes you so certain that he isn't Rax? I mean there has to be some logic to your thinking. What's your thought process? I'm interested.
    --- Double Post Merged, Jul 30, 2016, Original Post Date: Jul 30, 2016 ---

There's the logic. It would make no sense to simply introduce Snoke out of nowhere when Rax is essentially setting up the stage for exactly the same thing. Rax is the guy who came out of nowhere, it's written as such in the book. I mean Palpatine took him under his wing for a reason. The late Emperor would not waste his time on just anyone.

Right now, I'm onboard with those people who think the books will be relatively self-contained and not reveal any critical information about the films. So I don't think Snoke is Rax.

A few weeks ago, when this book came out, I thought that perhaps Palpatine's interest in Jakku and the force site he is building there was a red flag indicator that Palpatine has something to do with Rey, and they were setting up an Ep VIII reveal that Rey is either "related" to Palpatine in some way or he is responsible in some way for her birth. Why make Jakku special? But another reader pointed out that they are likely just setting up for the next book, which will focus on the Battle of Jakku, and I think this is correct. Jakku is special because we've already established that the last major military conflict took place there, leading to the retreat and birth of the First Order.

It will be interesting to see if Ep VIII can fill in the gaps on Snoke and make his origins and characterization interesting -- right now I'm just like "where was this guy during the OT period and why did Leia talk about him like he was a prominent figure in their lives?" Perhaps Luke recruited Snoke as a force user to help him teach the jedi trainees, and that is part of why Luke flees to exile -- he's responsible for both Kylo Ren and Snoke (and implicitly, the First Order).

Personally, I think Snoke might be chilling on Korriban while he issues commands via hologram. Speaking of, is it canon that the "Sith species" were red-skinned? Is it possible that Snoke might be descended from the Sith species?

Unless Palpatine foresaw the future and Rey, I wouldn't think so. We must remember that Rey was dropped off on Jakku. Wasn't born there. Nor created.

Palpatine said that whatever he's building underground on Jakku will be as important now as it was 1000 years ago.

We know the Battle of Jakku is near at the end of Life Debt, I can't see the Empire losing everything and rebuilding for the next 30 years.

Starkiller base must be under construction at the time the Battle of Jakku takes place.

I just don't see how Snoke will magically appear out of thin air, no introduction, to take over as head or supreme leader of the newly created First Order and rebuild it in such a small time frame.

I think Rax is scheming and is secretly doing something during this time, also holding back star destroyers or building secretly in some other nebula and will become Snoke through whatever darkside deed will be done.
