    I'am open for a gay friendship between Poe and Finn and Kylo gets the Girl (Rey) (maybe a forbidden love - incest)
    This is what I want to see, something new and refreshing: "A young black male and his experienced latino lover"
    I can't believe it, that I wrote that, I will get flak for this, no doubt, but I will not delete it.
    For traditionally people with high morals it would be disgusting to watch something like that on the big screen.
    We should be open minded and tolerant to new ideas, but Disney will never go so far 100% sure.
    And please people don't take my post too serious.

    I don't think overt sexuality will find a home in TGFFA. It's taken 'til now to get female and black leads, and look at the controversy that's already excited....

    That was only controversial to idiots posting on Youtube. I'm pretty sure most of us were paying attention to everything but race in that moment.. more like "oh blast, Star Wars is back".

    If they did include a gay character, the only thing that would be controversial is if they did it in bad taste i.e. stereotypically flamboyant gay guy. Otherwise who cares.

    Can we please not turn this into a discussion about homosexuality? I am an Apostolic Pentecostal preacher. I doubt very seriously anyone on here will tolerate or respect my feelings or wants to engage me on this topic. Can Star Wars just be about Star Wars, without a special interest agenda?

    I would not care if the character was gay/straight yellow, green, purple as long as he/she is a really well written bad-ass character. A good character is a good character period.

    If there is a love relationship in the ST... Maybe it is not clear yet who is going to be involved... Maybe the team working on Episode VIII will just see how TFA's chemistry between the characters works.

    Well...

    That could induce the following question:

    Does Kylo Ren have feeling and or love for any individual in TFA.
    Will they go faceless/cold killer.
    If Adam Driver is playing the character, I mean, he's a good actor and can play layers of emotions.
    If they needed a cold and faceless Kylo Ren, they could have hired a stuntsman or a martial artist.

    That film was so boring I fell asleep watching it. I have never watched it all the way through but its not really my cup of tea (am not into blokes). Am 100% sure star wars wont go that way though but that does not mean it cannot be LGBT friendly though, in fact they could introduce LGBT characters and relationships without using graphic sex scenes. They don't even do it with straight characters so I'm positive we will not have gay cowboys in space....

    Right. I don't think there has ever even been a sex scene in Star Wars or implied sex (besides Anakin and Padme between movies). Star Trek on the other hand, Kirk would bang every green chick he could find.

    Well, once again, that goes back to my original post. This thread not being about sexual preferences, I don't think it was exposed in any way in the Star Wars Saga. But more about, will Love and Sexuality will be more significant in the ST, whatever the orientation, species involved.

    Let's say.... could we see R2 in love? :) Chewie?
