Where is Rey during all of this? And if MVS is now playing this "Vicar" character, do the two of them still have some sort of connection? What about Kylo Ren? Commanding Imperial forces...? Frankly, I now personally find it much harder to believe that he has any familial relations to any of the big 3 with this "news" that he's leading the Imperials in one of the films opening scenes. Couple that with the DG double-agent/saboteur (who's side is he really on?) and "son of Skywalker" rumors, and now we have not one, but two Skywalker/Solo children having abandoned the Alliance and their rebel hero parents only to join the Empire, while each taking up a prominent villain role.

Finn and Poe each seem to have more obvious back stories, but there's still plenty we don't know. Was Poe ordered or tasked with retrieving the Saber or does he have the authority within the Alliance ranks to elect to go himself? Finn can't fire a blaster, but he knows how to escape the brig? If he's a pacifist, what does he bring to the table? If he turns out to be force sensitive, that'll answer that question.

The point is, there are so many little details. Jumping to any negative conclusions about the overall quality of the film or its content or story at this point seems like you're rooting for it to fail.

    JJ's directing isn't all bad.

MI:III was a solid movie front to back.
Super 8 and Star Trek we're nearly great movies which were held back by a few conceptual flaws and weak climaxes.
Star Trek Into Darkness was an admitted misstep. But even in that movie, it wasn't all bad. The first 45 minutes or so we're very well done.
And his best work by far overall was the Lost Pilot, which was a movie in itself and some of his best all around work.

JJ has shown flaws. But he gets strong performances from mediocre actors. He has a great eye. And he is excellent at character/world building and plot development.

He has shown some misteps in climaxes and closure and occasionally in conception (how often is probably dependent on if you are an old school ST fan or not). But the idea that his entire film history is worthless has been clouded by people angry about his Star Trek choices. But what commercial director doesn't have missteps on their record?

JJ has a reputation to direct good movies, I thought into the darkness was better than the first one, Im sure he will not disappoint us anyway TFA is his first & only crack at making this franchise better again.

Where / how did Anakin get his red saber so fast when he became Vader? It had to of came from Shiv. Maybe the passing down of an ancient sith relic or secret held in that lightsaber. When the deathstar exploded, Luke had gotten Anakin, the redeemed Vader, away to safety. But maybe the saber was left and the Death star explosing sent it flying through space.

If a lightsaber opens an ancient sith tomb, it makes no sense for it to be a Jedi's. It would need to be a Sith's. Unless it was a Jedi that closed the tomb, and how do you explain who and where and the how, maybe that's one of the flashbacks that has been discussed.

Luke's lightsaber fell into a chasm full of vents. Darth Vader's lightsaber fell into an explosive reactor that disintegrates everything - and presuming that it survived that, it would have been obliterated in the Death Star II's explosion.

I think it's obvious as to which one could have survived and which one didn't.

    I've got a theory that's it's a ruse...a rumor ruse no something isn't right there.

I've got a theory that MSW is compensating for his huge spoiler with a red hare.

In the video game version of Episode III, the alternate ending where you kill obi-wan has a scene at the end where Sheev hands Anakin his "new" red lightsaber. Anakin takes it, throws it in the air, ignites it and stabs sheev in the stomach. IDK if that's considered canon since it's an alternate version of the actual scene but I think the assumption that I made off of that scene is Sheev made it for him.

Reading the previous page, it is pretty clear to me now, that there are people who want to ruin this film for SW fans, and are very subtly hinting at every chance that the next film will be terrible. I am almost certain they will come out bashing the film as soon as its released regardless of how well it is accepted by the general public and fans in general.

You just have to have your own perspective. No matter how good TFA or the whole ST is there are always going to be haters. There's a ton of reasons for people like that to dislike the ST regardless of whether it is good or not. The fact that GL's material went out the window has probably already created a group of snobs just for that. If you like the ST then that's all that matters. It's just like the PT, yes it had flaws but if you still like it then you like it. If you don't that's fine too. There are always people trying to force peoples hand either way claiming if you don't like everything SW then you aren't a real fan and that's complete crap.

I'd like to add that just because someone works on the film and leaks any kind of information, it doesn't mean they even know what a light saber, or star destroyer "really is".

No matter how Han goes, there will be those who like how it goes down and those who don't. There's no cookie-cutter appropriate response. It's impossible to please a fan base where different groups of fans have their own expectations, myself included. Sure there are things that I'm hoping to see in the film. I'd like to have some Force mythology introduced that blows our minds and enriches the mysticism of the Force or that gives us a paradigm shift in how we view the Force. This is just one among many things I'd really like to see in the film. However, I'm trying to distance myself from these expectations as I'm pretty darn sure I'm gonna love the film even without all of my personal hopes being fulfilled. I'm sure we'll all find things we aren't to keen on. But I'd be shocked if we also didn't find tons of things that awaken the excitement of our childhood selves with that joyful Star Wars feeling.

Am guessing if the info leaked by MSW is wrong, it will be marginally wrong. The whole teaser clip was just images but the film has content. They say the camera never lies and the same goes for drawings, this is a myth as we all know. What is important with what has 'supposedly' been leaked is the connotation. This is missing. Are eyes tell a different story if there is no amplitude of the stories essence.

Actually Vader's second lightsaber was destroyed when Luke severed his hand in TROTJ.
That is a interesting way to end that game because I thought Vader created this one himself that came with a adegan crystal on the first death star, it took two weeks to build before it was used.

Any thoughts on MSW new dump:

Luke is only present at the end. Could this be the artwork we saw a while back with the red/blue contrast lighting and what appears to be a robed person sitting on a throne and someone dressed similarly to Rey walking through the entrance?

    Here's the link for everyone:
    http://makingstarwars.net/2015/02/s...e-spoilers-about-luke-skywalkers-involvement/

    It's a bit disappointing.

But I guess you can't show him early in the film if he's the Yoda type character, training Rey later on.

No way this turns out to be true. Mark Hamill was a while at the sets of the movie, that's a fact. And there has been plenty of rumors about him throuout the movie (being visited by ghosts, keeping the Sith tombstone, meeting with the main characters...) It doesn't really have sense with the storyline to have him just show up in the last second of the movie. If that rumor is true, then it means MSW was mistaken in several Spoiler reports where they were talking about Luke in several situations. I mean, by now, I think there's a lot of things that des not fit with what we know already about TFA.
