I got tons on that stuff. Just because I have't put it up yet doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

 

So Hamill stayed in England for months just for the sake of misdirection? Seems weird.

 

Yeah, I wrote as much in my report. It was also why I wasn't jumping on that story.

Maybe they did that because:

It makes every misunderstand his part.

Getting in shape for this scene will still pay off in Episode VII as well as the final sequences of this film.

Having him around that summer perhaps was about building moral and not bringing in someone else later making a rift in the vibe (this happened with directors not he OT).

Or perhaps its wrong. It doesn't change the fact this is what they shot though. What they shot is factual. So it would require this to be a ruse and secret shooting to have occurred. If we're going to go that route, we have to assume Ford's injury was fake and it was a big trick to film a secret movie. That said, I doubt it.

 

Didn't he say not to long ago that he had a scene on the Falcon. Or was it he just went to the Falcon set?

Edit I found the interview i was thinking off. He never said he did a scene on the Falcon.

He visited all the sets. He played with BB-8. I know he was at scenes he didn't partake in. Everyone toured the Falcon. EVERYONE.

 

Is that from EU? I've never read that before

 

So are you saying your latest piece is based on call sheets or coming from a source.

Also care to elaborate on how Rey is flying the Falcon with Chewey but is not a solo?

 

Well this rumor is gut punch. I was hoping he would own Kylo Ren at the end of the movie. This most be fairly new info because I thought you said not to long ago that Han begs Luke not to kill Kylo.

Not solo? You mean a Solo? I don't know what she is. I don't get the impression from this stuff she is related. The only person that seems linked is Kylo. I guess Kylo not killing her might be a clue but that's about as far as I can take it based on the information I have access to.

 

Well, if this is true seems like JJ was more focused on surprising the audience than anything.

Which is a shame. The big 3 actually signed on for a sequel, and Mr Mystery box took it as an opportunity to have fans waiting 2 hours for the surprise.

Very disappointing if true.

 

If true this will make Luke more of the Yoda character of the trilogy and Han is Ben Kenobi.

 

Its very much the point of the movie. While the saber is the MacGuffin, its still much Luke himself as well in what I've seen.

 

So Jason @ this point with the things you have said ? I can assume you are familiar with the story as a whole ? Every beat , every twist , every action set piece ?

Without getting into specifics ( wich is kind of ironic as you have revealed a lot at this still early juncture )

Can you give us your rateing out of 10 for the story we will get Dec 18 th ?

 

That is very much my assessment as well. It seems like its kind of A New Hope and if they knew Yoda was going to be in Empire, they might have introduced him at the end. I see a lot more trilogy building here and commitment to ideas than I did in the OT or the PT.

 

If true it is the first disappointing thing I've heard about the movie. People will be angry for sure.

"30 years waiting to see Luke back on the screen and we get this??"

I didn't expect to see him in an old man fight(kinda hoped he wouldn't actually) but it would be nice to have some dialog and character building.

 

When phrased like that I do not hate the idea. We just have to learn patience.

What I've seen is a very solid story. Three young characters come to terms with their place in the galaxy and the classic heroes are there in a way that doesn't feel shoehorned in. After I read all the documents, I watched Return of the Jedi and very much felt an atonement between that film and this one. I was elated by what was unfolding and as long as its executed as well as my mind's eye executed it, I think it should be pretty rad.
