Of all the people to be prima donna Mark Hamill isn't the one I'd think. He's a delight in every interview and he's had the least visible career of any of the three main OT players.

Lol there were also rumors Harrison Ford was drunk when he broke his ankle. I think all of this is BS.

I would pay money to hang out with a drunk Mark Hamill, but I don't buy a word of that. The man has an impeccable reputation and it would have been much more publicized if his behavior was that insane

They axed his scenes because he was difficult to work with? They changed Episode 7 because he was a drunk...and (according to MSW) he seems to be a focus in Episode 8. Might as well killed him off in 7 if he were miserable enough to cause his scenes to be axed.

Let's go back to talking about evil Luke, tomb-guarding Luke, and final battle Luke....both 100% verified and confirmed fact from a reliable unnamed source that has footage and call sheets...or not.....

And just curious...we know the beginning and end....why haven't we heard a damn thing about the other 90% of the movie? Why is the middle act such a closely guarded secret? (correction: we know Leia wears grey)

I'm not about to buy into any speculation that Mark Hamill was a drunk at work, on set.

Every interview of his co-workers that I've ever seen have said unequivocally that he is
a true professional, a man with a strict work ethic, and an absolute joy to work with.

Did I miss that MSW post? Or was he dropping something new? I'm so confused.

I agree Kyle. This is getting out of hand.

First off if Luke isn't in the film and is in hiding, hows does Rey know where to find him at the end? She just parks the Falcon and walks up and rings Luke's doorbell? Chewy just sits in the Falcon? Do they tell Luke that Han died trying to save her?

Call sheets do not tell the whole story. I think so many of these reports are just snippets of what people have heard or seen with no actual context. The story doesn't come together until editing in post production.

A movie can change a lot once is edited, not to forget reshoots for example. Call sheets are not going to give us the whole and real scope of the film.

As well, I don´t think Mark Hamill would be so happily talking about how extraordinary experience was to be in SW back again with all the cast if he just did one short scene. And forget about that, no actor is going to stay in the shooting place for over a month if he just worked one day, neither would any production company pay him for a whole month with just one day of real work. We´re seeing the old OT cast together in this movie, at least in a couple of scenes.

(Not to forget Mark was with HIS own family for most of the time in England... is he going to be all day long drunk with his kids there while he´s filming SW?)

Luke is a cyborg, Luke has a cameo,Luke is drunk,Luke is crazy,Luke guards a tomb,Luke has an apprentice, Luke is a bad guy, Luke fell to the dark side,Luke is Gleeson's characters father, Luke is very powerful, Luke is in self exile, Luke kills Han....and many more.

These are all from the same rumor-mill and same sites. Take your pick he may be one of those and when one of them is true in the movie. They will take credit for it even though there has been nothing confirmed or factual as of yet.

Next Luke will fly the Falcon.

But in reality Luke is important to the film. He will be more than a cameo.

And just because a trusted source was spot-on in the past doesn't mean they can't begin trolling fake information now.

What do they care if they burn Jason or anyone else? (No offense MSW)

The source is always in control. The sites need them moreso than vice-versa. But what's a site to do? Cross-referencing rumors, leaked call sheets, and relying on previously accurate sources is still a crapshoot.

If you don't run a story by said 'source', what's stopping them from going to another site? There goes your source and your traffic.

Fan sites are in a Catch-22.

No one wants to be outscooped or lose a previously credible source. It's why many fan sites carefully preface these stories. They are protecting themselves and their readers from the potential backlash of pushing "reliable info" that winds up being fake.

This is in stark contrast to other media outlets. Sites that aren't dedicated to SW, but simply fandom or pop culture in general tend to jump on SW fan site stories, posting what amounts to just a recap of the initial story from the dedicated site that broke it.

So rather than criticize long winded prefaces or source histories, we should be thankful Viral, Jason, and their peers bother with them at all. They do it because they value honesty and transparency... not just to "still be right if this is wrong."

They're in the same boat as us.

Their sources can dry up or begin feeding them misinformation whenever they choose. It's a big moving puzzle. Let's thank these guys for deciphering what they can, and responsibly sharing the scoops they get.

    Thanks!

P.S. We're all in this together, whether you run a site, participate in their comments section or messageboards, or just read and lurk. Let's build each other up, not tear each other down.

Not buying ANYTHING until I see it. Remember, now the rumors and spoilers come out and Disney KNOWS it. It will be their job to provide sleight of hand, misdirection, misinformation, disinformation and outright plot lies dumped on the fanbase in order to confuse. There are some rumors and speculation that I personally see as "plausible, possible, and potentially likely" but the majority I will dismiss as bs. Like this; I don't EVEN buy that Luke has a 30 second scene at the end of the movie...just CANNOT see it. I don't think it makes sense, or is smart on the behalf of the studio....that's just me.

Interesting, though I have only a scant understanding of that franchise. I.. really saw this character evolving to a more gradually, maybe have some misgivings mixed with new order dogma at first. Bascially, I saw him like Davin Felth from the old lore. But what our rumor treatment is saying is that Finn comes right out of the gate with these pacifistic 'moral compass' attitudes&actions. The whole thing sounds terribly contrived. And it sounds.. like George Lucas.

    Nailed it.
Look they would not have announced the casting of Hamill if his part was the equivalent to an after credits Easter egg in a Marvel movie. Everyone, including casual fans, will be eager to see Luke. If the movie plays out and he never shows it will totally distract the viewer and ruin the experience.
