MARVEL Cinematic Universe

I understand most of the concerns with Suicide Squad most felt it was an over blown music video but to be honest I loved the relationship Deadshot had with his daughter. The audience I saw the film with laughed at all the right times, I really had a good time. Will Smith hasn't been good lately and I think he did a good job with that role, surprised me allot, so I guess thats why I like it.

Thor was great! I'm definitely getting the collector's edition when its released. Hela brought back that Jack Kirby old school type of villain. The MCU doesn't have that many iconic villains but Hela took that role to another level, hopefully she returns.

 

Deadshot and his motivation (daughter) was the sole bright spot of that film for me. The rest was so bad that I don't ever want to see another.

For Thor, I was completely NOT sold on Hella going in, but Cate Blanchett is seemingly made of pure magic so, she won me over.

 

I can't be mad at that, allot of people disliked Suicide Squad many were indeed disappointed by it. I agree thats one of the bright spot of that film( Batman's cameo was spot on). As a comic book fan seeing the the Suicide Squad on film had me, but the film should have been better crafted. Even the Director felt he could have done a better job. The Watchman is another film thats divisive. I've read that graphic novel several times and I think Snyder paid homage to that work, it has flaws but overall a spectacular adaptation.

 

Anyone else been watching Runaways? Thoughts?

 

I plan on watching Runaways but haven't had the chance.

Either way, Infinity Wars hype had not even touched me until now. We are so close to TLJ that I can now consider that there are other awesome things in the works.

 

I'll see what I can cover:
Thor - It's iconic and he'll likely get a new one. Not impossible to think Odin had a spare in his treasure room. And they won't pull a WB and keep that out of advertising..
Antman and the Wasp - They have a movie coming out soon-ish. They will be front and center.
Guardians - Pratt is wildly successful. The others are too but not to his degree and you cant fit EVERYONE.
The others - Im guessing it's just because of their role (or lack thereof) in Infinity Wars.

That shoot is hilarious and embarassing, especially that Evangeline Lilly shot but there is so much more unintentional comedic gold. Good lord, that thing is such a colossal failure.

 

The first 18 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe were the previews. THIS is the main event. Everything has been leading to THIS.

Now all we need is the trailer.

Please give us the Infinity War trailer! We all want that trailer! Even the little kitty cats want it!

Also regarding Thor's look etc...
Evans has no beard in it but he's Nomad in this film. So I think it's just for press reasons. Familiar styles and looks in promos to hype up the inevitable change in IW

 

What am I missing with the humor about Wasp on the cover?
