It's possible he's seeking those books. The ones hidden in the tree on Ach-To. Not for Snoke, but perhaps for his own agenda. Luke could have told him many things before he turned, things that would cause both of them to keep crossing paths, while using Snoke's orders as a cover for his actual intentions.

 

I have no doubt Ben can be redeemed but you seem to see more evil in the heroes than the films describe and less than what is evident in Kylo Ren's turbulent tragic character.

No. The prophecy was fulfilled. Lucas has said so. But more importantly that's what we saw in the OT. They don't need to retcon the victory of the OT away for the ST to work. They bought SW to keep it going not break apart the significance of the 1st 6 movies which the profit from.

 

How so?
I know this is not the thread to discuss other charachters and I do not play up Kylo by playing down the others if I say the truth. And the truth is:
Finn IS a liar.
Poe shoots people in the BACK.
Rey ISN'T a Mary Sue.
Leia IS a politician.
And together with Han she herself feels she failed her son.
Rebells/Resistance plays dirty.
Etc.

Those are facts. Established in TFA and canon. Or you meant something else?
(Don't remember what else I said...Fetts are scum of the earth? But surely you dont hold a bounty hounter in such high esteem to call him a hero so please elaborate. Quote if you must. )

If you can see Rendemption now already, then I take it you see that there are reasons for it in Kylo's behaviour and charachter. Pray...do say what they are. In your opinion. I would love to hear that

If the prophecy was fulfilled in OT then there would be no more conflicts past that and we would have peace in the galaxy.
Or you mean it was a cycling prophecy or something? Every generation has a chosen one who puts Force to sleep by balancing it then the Force wakes up after 30 years or so and the whole thing needs to be done again?

I cant escape the feeling that he does have an agenda not in line with FO's...I mean...General Fux told it out straight:

Careful, Ren, that your personal interests not interfere with orders from Leader Snoke.

He HAS personal interest. And that interest CAN'T be Rey since he hasn't met her yet?

I love it. Finally!!!!

 

I knew Luke messed up, but wow... seriously he really messed up! I feel so bad for him!

 

Hmmm...so Luke's own rendemption is on the line.
What if they tie it together to Ren's? I mean. He felt responsible cuz he thought Kylo would bring balance and was proven wrong. But what if...HE can save him the same way he saved the other Chosen one, his father?

 

Kylo the sad dark prince.

 

How could he not sense the darkness in Ren though? He easily sensed the good in his father. Can that be shielded?

 

He probably sensed both. The light and darkness. Trying to teach Kylo how to maintain the balance? But underestimated the darkness? Or something happened? Could it be that he was training Kylo in both? In a sort if study the dark side in order to gain control of it way? You know...like Sheev was going on and on about in RotS? I dunno. God this sounds exciting.

A propos Sheev and his Master. Isnt the dark side about destruction? But plagueis could manipulate life? Create it even? Or I got that wrong...

 

I feel like Luke and Snoke both went for Ben thinking he was the Chosen One, then found out he wasn't and he started seeking out the chosen one, which results in his "it is you" reaction to Rey. I actually said this a week ago here, but people told me they would not do a prophecy thing again.

I don't remember. My mind is just overwhelmed from all this info I must sort through now haha

I dunno. I think if Rey is the chosen one the they are doing a setback of SW from Skywalkers which i dont think anyone wants. Or only few.
To me it makes much more sense that the 'misinterpretation' of the prophecy (how yoda calls it) in pt is more fundamental than 'this one isnt its that one perhaps'
Perhaps the two are needed, no more, no less.....like with the Sith?

 

People have suggested it'll be both Rey and Ben. I could see that. Why else would he be the perfect balance of Light and Dark? Chances are Luke wasn't completely wrong, but he was missing the other piece, so the balance was tipped.

This is just perfect...tall dark handsome greeneyed bad boy. Yeah...he is geting redemed for sure.
